Wren's P. O. V.  *1 week later*

"Jack, can you come here?" I asked from our bed. Jack was in the bathroom getting ready for rehearsals for some show or ceremony that David got them invited to.

"Yeah, what's up babe?" He sat next to me.

"How long is the show tonight?" I asked.

"A few hours. We'll probably be home by eleven, why?"

"I think I'm gonna go talk to my mom."

"O-okay. If you can wait I could go with you."

"No, I wanna go alone. Thanks, though."

"Yeah of course babe." He caressed my cheek making me look down with a blush on my cheeks. He grabbed my face and pulled me close to kiss me. "I love that I can still make you blush," he whispered.

"You think I can't?" I asked softly. He raised an eyebrow, as if to challenge me. I smirked as I noticed he was only wearing underwear. I put my hand on his thigh, slowly sliding upwards. As I got closer to his crotch, I heard his breath hitch and saw his cheeks turn red. "Ha!" I said taking my hand away.

"Fine, whatever," he laughed, kissing me again. He stood up and continued to get ready.

"Hey mom," I said sitting on the cold ground next to her gravestone. "I really miss you. I wish you were here right now to tell me what to do."

I put the vase of fake flowers on the ground. Even in the dark they looked beautiful, just like mom.

"I hope you, Em, and Charlie are all together right now. Happier than you were while you were here. I just wish one of you could give me a sign. I know that he should know, but should I talk to him in person? Jack could go with me, but I feel like dad wouldn't appreciate him there...Speaking of Jack, I hope you like him mom. I know he kind of disrespected dad, but that's only because dad disrespected me...Anyways, could you just try to give me a sign? What should I do, mom?" I didn't know I was crying until I saw the tears fall onto the ground.

I stayed there talking to mom for a little bit, but I guess I had fallen asleep on the ground. I didn't wake up until I heard someone call my name.

"Wren!" Someone yelled through the rain that I didn't know had started. It was pouring.

"Jack?" I questioned quieter than I had anticipated.

"Wren, what happened?" He ran and fell to my side.

"I-i just fell asleep."

"You're gonna get sick, let's get out of here." He reached for my hands to help me up. We both stood in the rain looking at each other.

I looked into his eyes. His hair was sticking to his forehead, making his perfect bouncy curls a little less perfect. Rain droplets dripped down his face. His eyes were full of so much care and love.

The next moment was like every girls dream. They know that it only happens in movies, but they still dream and hope that one day it could happen. I was a lucky one.

Jack moved one of his hands to my waist and the other to my face. He pulled me into him and crashed his lips onto mine. My hands went crazy, tangling in his wet hair. He closed the space between us and moaned into the kiss. I pulled away and we both smiled.

"Let's go home," he said. He wrapped his arm around my waist and led me towards the car.

"Jack, why did you come get me?" I asked once we were in the car.

"I knew it was gonna take you a while to get home so I didn't think you were in trouble, but then something just told me that I needed to be with you. Things always work better when we're together." I felt my heart get warmer, but not only because of what Jack said. I knew that that was the sign my mom gave me. I knew now that I should go tell my dad about Em and bring Jack with me.

"Thank you."

"Of course." I kissed his lips. I looked at the clock in the car and saw it was one in the morning.

"Jack, let's just stay in a hotel. You're probably tired, driving three hours here." We used to live in San Diego, and that's where my mom was buried.

"Okay." He found a nearby hotel and pulled in.

We walked in, soaking wet, and got a lot of weird looks. I don't know why, it was pouring outside what did the people expect? We got a room and went to the elevators.

"Go take a hot bath. I don't want you to get hypothermia," Jack instructed.

"I'm fine," I said but listened to him anyways.

When I got out of the bath, I didn't have any dry clothes, so I walked out of the bathroom in a towel. Jack was in bed on his phone. He was shirtless, so I guess he wasn't wearing pants either. I dropped the towel and got under the covers.

"Did talking to your mom help?" He asked wrapping his arm around me and pulling me closer.

"Yeah. I want to have Em buried next to her, they would both want that. Also..."

"What?"

"Will you come with me...to talk to my dad?" I felt him tense up.

"Why do you want to talk to him?"

"I don't, I really don't. But I think he should hear about her death from me and not some insensitive guard."

"You're right."

"So will you come with me? I don't wanna go alone."

"Of course. I wouldn't let you go if I wasn't going."

"Thank you."

He looked into my eyes, then down at my lips. I smirked and put my lips on his. He slipped his tongue into my mouth, exploring what he already knew so well. He moved and hovered over me, putting his lips on my neck and searching for my sweet spot. I moaned, Jack's name slipping from my lips, and he grazed his teeth against my neck.

Jack's phone rang and I groaned.

"I'm not answering," he said reaching over and turning it off. He put his lips on mine, quick to get back to what we started.
