Wren's P. O. V.

"Jack, why do I have to go?" I whined the next morning. It was before nine in the morning, which means I should still be asleep.

"Because I want you to meet the people that I might be working with."

"I don't want to meet my replacement," I said.

"The guys love you, we'll make sure you keep your job."

"Then I'll feel bad for meeting them and talking to them when I know I'll get them fired. They could be in the same situation I was and I'll feel guilty."

"Babe, you don't need to feel guilty. If David hired someone that he thinks is better than you, that person isn't in the same situation."

"I just don't wanna go," I pouted.

"It's just a few hours. You get to watch me dance, well probably fail at dancing."

"Ugh, okay fine." I slid out from under the covers. Jack came over and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I just want you there for support. I'm probably not gonna like these people," he said resting his chin on my head. I chuckled.

"I have to get ready if you want me to come," I said letting his chest.

"Okay," he sighed. He lifted my chin up and kissed my lips before letting me go.

I went into the closet and pulled out some leggings and Jack's Syre hoodie. I slipped on my vans and went into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and threw my hair into a ponytail before putting on some mascara.

"Jack, let's go!" Jonah called from downstairs. I came out of the bathroom and took my phone off the charger before taking Jack's hand and following him downstairs.

We all went out to the SUV and piled in. Jonah drove us to the studio where David had already been. He hurried everyone inside and introduced us all. The choreographer and the photographer were both dudes. I guess David didn't want them falling in love again.

"This is Garrett," David said pointing to the guy with a camera. He had long brown hair on top but the sides were shaved. His eyes were green and he was teeth were brighter than my future.

"Nice to meet you all, I'm looking forward to working with you," he said smiling at me.

"Nice to meet you too," the guys said. Jack's grip on my waist had tightened.

"And this is Will," David said pointing to the choreographer. "He also has an assistant, but she couldn't make it today."

Will quickly took the guys over to the mirrors and started discussing sets and songs. I sat on a stool in the kitchen area and went onto instagram.

"So you're the girl that I'm replacing?" A voice said from behind me. I turned and saw Garrett.

"Yeah I guess so," I said. "David doesn't seem to like relationships between the guys and their crew."

"Well now you get to spend more time with the guys instead of doing a job."

"I don't think David wants me on the tour at all," I scoffed. "Plus I'd have to pay for myself to fly to Europe and I don't have that money."

"I'm sure you can work something out. Or you could just not go. You don't have to be connected at the hip with your friends."

"One of them is more than just my friend. And the others are like family to me. The only family I have around here."

"Maybe you could make a new family," he said. I noticed he had scooted closer to me. Our arms were almost touching and I could smell the strong scent of his cologne.

"I'd rather not," I said standing up. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle.

"I think we got off on the wrong foot," he said. "You just seem like a nice girl and I want to get to know you."

"Why?"

"Because we're both photographers. What kind of pictures do you take?"

"I don't really have a specific type. I just take whatever I see. How about you?"

"I really like landscape, but I needed the job. Are you an artist, too?"

"Yeah, a little. I actually started drawing before I started photography."

"I was the same. I used to draw fields and mountains and sunsets. When I finally got a camera, I soon became an expert with it."

"That's cool," I smiled.

"Hey babe," Jack said walking over. He kissed my lips making me smile wider, then grabbed a few water bottles.

"So you've met Garrett?" He asked.

"Yeah, we're just talking about camera stuff," Garrett said.

"Oh," Jack said. I could see a glare start to come from his eyes. I put my hand on his arm feeling him go from tense to loose. I kissed his lips again before sending him back to the guys.

"How long have you two been together?" He asked.

"Almost three months, but it feels like I've known him for so much longer."

"What about the other guys? Are you close?"

"Yeah, pretty close. I live with them so we became friends pretty quick."

"You live with your boyfriend and you've only been dating for three months?"

"Yeah, what's wrong with that?"

"Oh nothing, just where will you go if you get in a fight? Or if you break up?"

"We won't breakup. But I'd rather not discuss my love life with a random person, so I'm gonna go," I said.

"Wait," he gently grabbed my arm. "I don't make you think you'll break up with Jack?" He smirked.

"No, of course not. Now let go."

"But you're beautiful and so am I."

"I said let go!" I pulled away from him and went over to the dance area. I knew if I was sitting where Jack could see me, Garrett wouldn't mess with me.

The guys were practicing their new dance for Trust Fund Baby. It seemed pretty complicated and took away from the focus of the actual music. The more I watched it, the less I liked it. I could tell the guys felt the same way.

During every break Jack would come sit next to me. He'd tell me how much he liked the old choreography better and how the guys agreed with him. I just counted down the hours until he was done.

"Great work guys, we'll pick up where we left off on Wednesday."

"Thank you," Jonah said before walking away with the guys. Jack came and sat next to me again.

"So we're gonna get rid of the choreographer for sure. Did you like the photographer?"

"His pictures were great," I said.

"Okay but how was he?"

"Flirty," I said giving a sarcastic smile.

"I'm sorry babe, I should've been watching him."

"No, I took care of it. Plus you have your own stuff to worry about."

"So no Garrett or Will?"

"I guess not."

"Okay." He kissed my temple. I turned and kissed his lips before standing up with him. We followed the guys to the SUV and all agreed that we wanted the old crew back.
