Wren's P. O. V.

"You ready to go?" I asked Jess. She nodded, a little uncertainty on her face.

"You okay?"

"Just a little nervous. I don't really like being in places where I'm surrounded with people."

"There won't be a lot of people where we're going. I know a shortcut," I smiled at her. She nodded and followed me out to my car.

I drove through the busy city of Los Angeles to the Hollywood Sign. I saw her face light up when we got out of the car. We saw people heading in three different directions up the mountain.

"Which way are we going?" She asked.

"This way." I led her away from all the people and to a shortcut Em had shown me a few years ago.

"How'd you find this path?" She asked.

"My sister found it. She showed it to me a few years ago before she died."

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay. We all have people we miss."

"I never knew my parents. My brother and I stayed with m aunt until he was 18 and she kicked us out."

"That's rough."

"Yeah, but we made it. He's really successful in Australia, but then there's me."

"You're an amazing writer, though."

"Thank you."

We soon made it up to the path and Jess was completely mesmerized. I didn't even try to say anything, I me she wouldn't answer. She just stared off the mountain, enjoying the view.

I sat on a nearby rock and looked at the markings I loved to come and see. "Em and Wren" was scratched into the top of it. I looked next to the right and saw Charlie's name, and to the left where I saw Jack's name. We both promised to never show anyone, but I guess these two were too special to keep them away from our secret.

Jess eventually came and sat next to me.

"I know Daniel wanted to show you this, but he has a million other places he can take you."

"Yeah," she chuckled.

"I know about Justin and everything that happened. I just wanted to tell you that you're the strongest person I've met. To go through all of that-"

"I'm not strong. I was too afraid to leave."

"But you're still alive right? You're healthy. You don't have too many bruises. And it's not like you're in your bedroom crying. You're out here starting a new life with the prettiest view in front of you. And the Hollywood Sign," I joked. She laughed.

"Thank you Wren."

"Of course. It's what friends are for. We're friends right?"

"Of course Wren," she smiled and leaned over giving me a hug.

We stayed at the rock for a little longer, then went back down to the car. We stopped at in n out before going back home and seeing all the boys on the couch, except for Jack.

"Where's Jack?" I asked.

"In his room. He needs your help." I left Jess with Daniel and quickly walked into our room. I heard him in the bathroom.

"Jack?" I called. The door slowly opened and I saw Jack with a huge black eye.

"What the hell?!" I screamed gently putting my hands on his face to look at his eye.

"I'm fine Wren," he said putting the ice pack on his eye after he wrapped it in a towel.

"What happened?" I asked wrapping my arms around his waist and hugging him.

"We were out at this restaurant and I heard some guys talking about the band and then they were talking about my fucking hot girlfriend and how they'd smash you. So I confronted them."

"Jack-"

"It's fine, I hit them back even harder," he said with a smirk.

"Still, you didn't have to do that."

"I wasn't gonna let them talk about you like that. The only person smashing you is me." I chuckled, then took a deep breath.

"I'm just glad you're okay," I smiled up at him and hugged him again.

I stood on my toes and kissed his lips. I heard him drop the ice pack as his arms slid around my waist. He picked me up and set me on the bathroom sink, standing between my legs that wrapped around him.  He moved his lips down to my neck and started sucking, gently grazing my skin.

"Is everybody decent?!" Zach called from the bedroom door.

Jack pulled away and picked up the ice pack, putting it back on his eye, then walked out. I turned and looked in the mirror and saw a new red spot on the right side of my neck.

"What's up?" Jack asked.

"I'm guessing you don't want to watch a movie with us. Since you only have one eye," he chuckled.

"Probably not the best idea,". I said answering for Jack.

"Okay." He walked back out and closed the door behind him.

"Interrupted us for nothing," Jack scoffed.

"You need to rest and ice your eye," I told him taking his hand and leading him towards the bed.

"Fine," he sighed. He sat on the bed and held the ice to his eye. I crawled onto him, resting my head on his chest. He wrapped his free arm around me and kissed my head.

"Besides what happened at the restaurant, how was 'guys day'?"

"Pretty boring without you,"

"Oh my gosh," I laughed at his cheesy joke.

"We played mini golf. Jonah won, but he cheated. I totally should've won," he scoffed making me laugh.

"What about you?" He asked.

"I took Jess to the Hollywood Sign."

"Did you show her the rock?"

"We sat on it, but I didn't tell her about it. It's not special if a lot of people know about it. It stays between you, Em, Charlie, and I."

"Yeah."

After ten minutes Jack took the ice off to give his eye a break. He'd spend that time kissing my lips or my face. After an hour or two of on and off icing, I told Jack that he could stop. I took the ice back to the freezer, passing Jess and Daniel cuddling asleep on the couch.

I slowly and quietly walked by, but I tripped over Zach's shoe and fell on my face.

"Ouch," I said getting up.

"You okay?" Jess asked, yawning. Daniel woke up too. It's like it took a second for them to realize what was happening because they both scooted away from each other.

"Yeah I'm fine. Sorry."

When I got into our room I kissed Jack then went and showered. I came out and grabbed some clothes, laughing at Jack for telling me I looked better without the towel. Jack showered after me then we both got in bed together. I scooted closer and cuddled into Jack.

"I love you," Jack whispered.

"I love you too, babe." I leaned up to kiss Jack, then I fell asleep.
