Fay was just heading home, when she received a message from Daniel.

Risa had after-school violin practice, so she had to walk home alone today.

Daniel: Hey

Daniel: I'm waiting outside the school gates, let's go to a cafe? 😏

"He tried sounding demanding," Fay chuckled as she quickly typed a reply. "but then he became unsure again."

Fay: Hey, I'm just coming out from the building so I'll see you in 5 👌

"Maybe I should've added a cuter emoji?" Fay questioned herself a bit too late, as she had already sent it, but then she shrugged it off "Oh well..."

When she arrived nearby the gates she saw a known blonde head leaning against it. A group of girls was flocking nearby, without approaching him, but he seemed to be in his own world.

Fay slightly gulped, before walking past the group of girls and tapping Daniels arm "Hey~"

"Shall we go?" Daniel shot her his trademark smile, making the girls behind them squeel and murmur.

Without paying attention to it, the two of them set off, and slowly the air started becoming awkward.

"Gosh, why is it easier to hold a conversation trough messages?" Fay questioned herself, as there was still no word spoken.

"So..." Daniel spoke up slightly startling Fay "New haircut, new me?"

"Nope, it's a promise made with Risa." Fay shook her head with a soft smile "She wanted me to return back to the way I was in middle school. I promised her that if something went well I would do it. So here we are."

"Something went well?" Daniel asked a bit curious.

"Yeah, certain things." Fay shrugged vaguely, not wanting to tell him that it was about the confession.

"You certainly do have a different feel around you," Daniel mumbled, as he rubbed his chin.

"Why? Does it look weird?" Fay asked worried, as she grabbed a lock off her hair and examined it.

"No!" Daniel immediately denied "You look pretty!".

"Oh.." a slight blush appeared on Fay's face, and she quickly looked down "Thank you~"

"Are you blushing?" Daniel asked with a cheeky grin, as he brought his face closer to hers.

"No you idiot, I'm crying." Fay looked up rolling her eyes, and noticed too late how close they were.

Both of them froze in their step, and just stared at each other for a good minute, before Fay tore her gaze away.

"How did you hide this face for two years long?" Daniel questioned, letting his gaze wander over her face.

"His eyes, really, are enticing." Fay thought as she couldn't help but notice how intense, yet cute they were. Before she snapped out off her trance.

"So...uh.." She slightly cleared her throat, getting him out of his trance too "Which cafe are we going to?"

"It's a cafe called Sweets Paradise." Daniel composed himself, and started walking again.

"No way!" Fay gasped "I love that place!"

"They have the best.." Daniel startedn and Fay could already guess what he was going to say "Parfaits!" they said in unison, before bursting out in giggles together.

"Never expected you to go to such a cute place." Fay said nonchalantly "What's your favorite parfait?"

"Why?" Daniel asked semi-indignantly "Because I'm a guy?!"

"Nooo." Fay shook her head "Because you have that manly Busan image."

"Ooh," Daniel grinned, "You like that?" He wriggled his eyebrows in a suggestive way, as he started talking in dialect.

"Ew no, get a life." Fay acted as if she was cringing, even tho a smile was present on her face.

"You're my life." Daniel blurted out before thinking "Wow when did you become mr.smooth Kang?" He mentally dissed himself.

"Damn that was smooth." Fay admitted, nodding her head in admiration "Got to give you that."

"Thank you, thank you," Daniel said proudly.

"But back to fave tastes," Fay said, as they arrived in the cafes street.

"Hmm, I would say..." Daniel tapped his chin thinking for a while "I like the strawberry cheesecake parfait, you?"

"The salted caramel brownie parfait." Fay answered without hesitation, as it was her all-time favorite "That's my guilty pleasure."

"I can slightly understand why." Daniel chuckled as they arrived in front of the cafe.

"Ladies first." He said holding the door open for her.

"Why thank you." Fay smiled at him as they entered the cafe...
