Chapter 7

*Ali's P.O.V*

"Hey, I just wanna let you know that Enid is coming over today." Carl told me as I was giving Judith a bath.

"Did she say?" I asked.

"I guess. I was just outside doing work and then she came over to me saying that she wanted to hang out with the both of us and also while we watch Judith." He said.

"Let me just finish her up." I said and he nodded and walked away.

I finished rinsing Judith's hair and then took her out of the bath.I put a towel around her and went to the room that she sleeps in. I put her on the changing table and dried her off. After I had dried her off, I put a diaper on her and then put her clothes on. I even did her hair so that she can look pretty. She was wearing cute overalls with a white shirt. I picked her up and then carried her to the living room where Carl was.

"She looks nice." Carl complimented on how good I did with Judith.

"I made her look pretty." I smiled.

"I can tell that she is taking a liking to you already." Carl smiled and then put his hands out so that he can hold her. I handed his sister to him.

"That's a good thing, right?" I asked.

"Of course."

"So I had thought the group was gonna be back today." I said.

I know that the group was suppose to be gone for like the whole night and they would show up in the morning but they haven't yet and it looks to be almost noon. I am worried about them already.

"They will probably come back later and if not later then tomorrow. But I know that they are taking care of the threat." Carl said looking at me.

"I am just worried about them." I admitted.

"They'll be okay, Ali."

I just nodded at him and he put Judith down so that she can play with the toys that she had. We were just watching her have fun and then we heard the door being knocked on. Carl went over and opened it to find Enid. Again, I did say that I did met her and she is really nice.

"Hey guys." She smiled coming in.

"Hey." I said.

"Okay, so I gotta check something that is outside so I'll be in here in a bit. Make sure that Judith is alright." Carl said and then went outside of the house.

"It's nice seeing you again, Ali." Enid said.

"It's nice seeing you again too." I told her.

"So I wanna tell you something." she said.

"Is it bad?" I asked.

"No not at all." She said.

I waited for what she had to tell me.

"Carl talks about you a lot." She bluntly said.

"He does?" I asked.

I never really knew that Carl talked about me. Like, I know I sometimes talk about him but it's only because he saved me and ever since our run, he has been looking out for me and making sure that I am okay. Which I of course, find it very sweet.

"He says that he is happy to have found you and that he is glad to be your hero. Now he never wants to let you down." She smiled.

"He would never let me down though. I know that he is gonna protect me." I said nodding.

"I find it sweet because I never seen Carl like this. I kinda think he has a crush on you." She said and I kinda had to back track a little.

"What makes you think that?" I asked all curious now.
