Hey guys here is another chapter for you.

So things are gonna start taking a turn in this book and I'm gonna see if you can catch on as the next few chapters come. If you watch the show, you might already know what's up to come. If you don't, then you're in for a surprise.

But yeah, this is the start of everything.

I hope you liked this chapter.

I'll also try to get another chapter out by the end of the week.

*Carl's P.O.V*

It's the next morning and I am already ready. I have a bag with some food and water.

Ali thinks that since I'm gonna be going on a run that the water and food is for me. But it's not. But I'm not gonna tell her that.

"Please be safe out there and then come back to be all in one piece." Ali told me giving me a hug.

It was a tight hug and I very well enjoy those tight hugs from her. I buried my head into her shoulder.

I closed my eyes just thinking of her even though we were close to each other right now. I shut them once more hard before pulling away and starring at her.

I took a deep breath.

"Keep Alexandria in watch. If Negan comes if I'm gone, take the lead." I said quietly.

"I don't know how to lead." She said honestly.

I took a good look at her and it's a way of letting her know that I do see some potential in her.

I grab her hand and held it close to me.

"We both have the same part. We both take charge. This is for us and you can do anything I can do. You can lead. I know you can." I said.

"But what if something happens?"

"What could happen here wouldn't be as worse as what Negan has done. You'll be fine. Michonne would be here if you need her and I know she wouldn't mind helping you. Have faith in yourself." I said.

She didn't say anything else. She nodded and then gave me a small and soft kiss on the lips.

I kissed her back gently and then pulled away.

"I'll be back."

"Be careful." She said and I nodded.

I started walking away now and I stopped and turned to her to make sure that she was okay.

She was watching me leave.

I started continue walking and continued my journey from here.

After who knows how long, I finally reached my destination.

I just walked around to see if I can find anything and then I was able to after a little bit.

It was a man killing a walker and I'm sure it's the same stranger that Ali and I saw when we were at the gas station.

I'm good at finding people.

He saw me and right away put his hands up.

"I'm Carl." I said.

"Siddiq." He said.

I reached into my bag and got out the stuff that I had brought.

"Food and water." I said holding it out to him.

"Why?"

"I guess you were talking about what your mom said about helping people. My mom told me you gotta do what's right. It's hard to do that sometimes but sometimes it's not."

I threw the bag that had the good and water in it.

He took the bag and completely downed the water.

I usually don't see people doing that.

"Thanks." He said.

"Glad I found you." I said right after.

"You were looking for me?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"I'm gonna ask you a few questions and I need you to answer them honestly, okay?" I said to him starting to walk forward.

"Okay."

"How many walkers have you killed? I know it's hard to keep track-" I started saying but he cut me off.

"237." Siddiq said.

"Really?" I asked impressed.

I didn't really actually think people keep track at how many walkers they have killed. It's impressive.

"How many people have you killed?" My second question.

"One." He just said.

"Why?" I asked.

"The dead tried to kill him but they didn't." Siddiq explained.

I nodded listening to him.

"You're making walker traps? Is that how you killed so many?" I asked gesturing to his walker traps.

"It's only part of it."

This guy is something.

"I'm responsible for you now." I said.

We started walking because again I'm planning on taking him back to my community with the others.

I just don't know how Ali would react.

She will probably be very mad. But maybe she'll finally understand.

I don't know how long we were walking but then walkers were around us.

We knew what we had to do.

We had to fight them.

There was no other choice.

So we started fighting them.

I was doing okay up until the fact that a walker had fell on me. I had to make sure that it wouldn't get me. I pushing it away from me.

But then I felt something. Something.

I quickly grabbed my gun and then shoot the one that was on me and then shot the other walker that was near me.

I kept frozen at the turn of events.

I don't even know how I feel right now. I have no words.

I got up slowly and tried to brush myself off. I can feel the blood on the back of my shirt. I was laying on something that had a lot of blood and it had to wound up on the back of my shirt.

"Are you okay?" Siddiq asked me.

I looked at him.

"Yeah." I said.

I continue to look at him once more before we continued to walk.

We have to get back to Alexandria quickly.

This is important.

I'll make sure everything is going to be okay and I'll make sure Ali is safe too.
