Chapter 12

*Ali's P.O.V*

"Carl, my knees hurt." I said to Carl as it was daytime.

We are just getting into the next day and Rick isn't back. He is still with Negan. We are still on our knees and I swear, I just wanna leave even if it meant I risk my life right here, right now. Carl has to be the same.

"Move your legs to the side so that you are not on your knees." Carl said and I nodded. I did as he did and let me tell you when I say that it felt better.

"When do you think your dad will be back?" I asked him.

"I hope soon. I hate not knowing what is going on with him." Carl said all nervous. Carl is never nervous so to see him in this state is strange for a change.

"I'm scared." I said.

"Don't worry. They're not touching you." Carl promised me. I just nodded at him.

Then all of a sudden an RV showed up and then Negan and Rick came out of it. Well it's nice to see that Rick is back but what is gonna happen now? Negan sits Rick in front of us and we all are looking. Rick looks like shit, I'll admit. Then Negan looked around and saw Carl and then pointed to him.

"Kid. Now." Negan said.

Carl slowly got up but gave me a glance letting me know that he will be okay. I am scared for him at the moment. I don't want anything happening to him.

"Are you a southpaw?" Negan asked Carl.

"Am I what?"

"Are you lefty?" Negan asked.

"No."

Then Negan wrapped a belt around Carl's arm.

"Does that hurt?"

"No." Carl said.

"It's suppose to." Negan said.

"Okay, spread them wings. Next to daddy." Negan said as he took of Carl's hat and then shoved him down to the ground next to Rick.

What is he gonna do to Carl?

"Simon, you got a pen?" Negan asked Simon.

"Yeah." Simon said.

Simon tossed Negan a pen and I was just wondering why. Then Negan drew a line on Carl's arm and then I suddenly got the point on why he wanted a pen. He was wanting to cut off his arm. No, this cannot happen. I don't want it too.

"Please don't do it." Rick begged.

"Me? I ain't doing shit." Negan said and then stood up.

"Rick I want you to take your ax and cut off your son's left arm off right on that line and I know that you gotta process that for a second. That makes sense. I'm gonna need you to do it or all of these people die. Then Carl dies. Then the people are home dies and then you eventually. Can keep you breathing for a few years so that.-" Negan said but he then got cut off.

"You don't have to do this. We understand, we understand." Michonne said but got cut off too.

"You understand? Yeah I'm not sure if Rick does." Negan said.

"I'm gonna need a clean cut right on that line. Now I know it's a screwed up thing to ask but it's gonna be like a salami slice. Nothing messy, clean forty five degrees. Give us something to fold over. We got a great doctor, the kid will be fine. Probably. Rick, This needs to happen now or I crush the little kid's skull." Negan said.

He can't do this.

"It could be me." Rick said.

"No. This is the only way." Negan said.
