*Ali's P.O.V*

"We will be leaving soon." Carl told me as I was in our room.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I put down the comic book that I was reading.

"The saviors. We're gonna go after them and take them down for good. We both will be needed." Carl said looking over his gun.

"Who else is going?" I asked.

"Dad, Abraham, Sasha, Aaron, Maggie, Eugene." He started to say. Was that it?

"What about Daryl, Rosita, Glenn, Michonne?" I asked. I am confused as to why he didn't mention them.

"They're out. They left today." Carl explained.

"When are they coming back?"

"I don't know to be honest." Carl said looking a bit concerned. Well he has to be.

"The thought is scary, isn't it?" I asked and he nodded slowly.

"The thought of losing any of them is tough. I can't lose them. Especially if we are gonna be in battle with these fools that are called saviors. We have to take them down so that they can leave us alone for good." Carl said walking over to me.

"We have to keep that promise." I said.

"Oh totally."

"It's okay to be scared Carl. It's okay to show some weakness." I said grabbing his hand as a way of comfort.

"I have to be brave. I can't have anything happen to any of us."

"Rick will make sure that we all are safe after this is over." I said.

"I hope." Carl said while looking at me.

We were just sitting in silence. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing because this is sometimes how we are. We like the silence sometimes. We find it relaxing. It's comforting if I can be honest. That may be weird to some people but it's not weird to us. It's how we are whenever we are together.

"There's meatballs in the kitchen if you want any. Michonne made them." Carl said.

"We can't do this on an empty stomach." I said standing up and we walked out of the room hand in hand.

So we did go to the kitchen to grab some of the meatballs that Michonne had made the day before probably. I never knew because I was sleeping. Yeah, I have no regrets.

"I'll fix you a plate." Carl said already grabbing a plate.

I watched him prepare the food while I was just starring at the wall. If this was an ordinary world where I wasn't fighting for my own life then I would've been on my phone looking through social media, being with my friends and having actual food. Okay, so I know that meatballs are real food but I am sure that the meat we are using is very old but we have no choice but to go with it. You get what I mean?

"Here you go, Ali." Carl placed the plate in front of me.

He did it that quickly? I never knew.

"Do you know exactly when we are leaving?" I asked him.

"Tomorrow." He said.

"Really?"

"Yeah so we need a good nights sleep tonight." Carl said taking a bite out of his meatball.

"I don't know how I feel about this though. I don't know if I will be able to help out as much as I would like to. I wouldn't want to disappoint you or the group." I said and he was looking straight at me.
