Chapter 55

*Ali's P.O.V*

So Henry and I have been tracking the whisperers for a while. It's been going good even though I really don't know how this is gonna go.

"They're up there." Henry whispered while pointing to a herd.

It's pretty obvious that was the whisperers. You can just be able to tell right away.

"Let's continue to follow them. But we have to be quiet." I said.

So we were literally walking and hiding behind trees as we go because we don't want to be caught.

We can't afford to have that happen right now.

I don't know how much longer we've been walking but then we hid in a ditch.

The whisperers were a few feet away from us but we were pretty down and low so they can't see us at all.

It was silent for only a few minutes before something came up behind us.

"Put It down, boy." A whisperer told Henry and Henry straight away whacked it with his bo-staff making it go down.

But I felt another presence behind us. I just took a glance and I see a big boot.

Shit.

"Henry." I whispered.

Henry then was able to feel the presence as well and went to whack another whisperer but this whisperer was gigantic. He had to have been almost 7 feet tall.

This gigantic monster grabbed Henry's bo-staff and threw it in the ditch and obviously mine had to join his as well.

"No." Henry said.

The whisperer grabbed Henry by the shoulder with just one hand and pulled him out.

I grabbed Henry's leg to help him get away but I'm not strong enough so Henry and I were both being dragged.

I can feel my body being dragged along the dirt. So I'm hoping for a couple of things. I'm hoping I don't have too much cuts on my stomach and I'm also hoping that I'm not gonna bring Henry's pants down and show his underwear.

"They've been tracking us longer." This monster said.

"Just them?" Lydia's mother asked.

I think I heard her name being Alpha. I don't care though.

"Just them." He said.

"Thank you, Beta." Alpha said.

Oh, so this 7 foot monster is named Beta. Good to know, I guess. I still didn't care.

"Who are you?" Alpha asked Henry and I.

We both just stared at her.

I, for one, am not intimated by her. She doesn't scared me. You think I haven't gone through this before. I was face to face with Negan tons of times.

Then Beta just roughly grabbed Henry's shoulder.

"I'll let him break it... and the other one, then your legs. Then I'll leave you out here to feed the hungry ones." Alpha said.

"Okay, okay. Just stop." Henry said.

I would've rather me being the one to have my arm being broken. Again, I'll protect Henry till the day I die so I rather something happen to me than him.

Alpha went to pick Henry up but I wasn't gonna allow that to happen.

"I can do it." I told her.

I helped Henry up and we both looked at her.

"We're from Hilltop. But they didn't send us. We came for her." Henry said and we both looked at Lydia.
