Chapter 56

*Ali's P.O.V*

So we all escaped the whisperer camp and by all of us, I mean - Daryl, Connie, Lydia, Henry and myself.

I'm so thankful for Daryl and Connie for saving Henry and I.

I was close to dying and even though I would've been okay with it, I was just scared because the whisperers are people who are crazy and scary and probably people you don't wanna be close to at all.

So we ran and ran until Henry tripped and fell.

I immediately went to help him and Daryl started to say we weren't going back to Hilltop.

"We're not going back to Hilltop?" Henry asked.

Daryl shook his head.

"It's a place they can look for us. They already know about it." Daryl said.

"We have to go somewhere else, then?" I asked.

Daryl just nodded.

Daryl was trying to get us to go in a direction but then Connie started to say, well say in sign language, that we have to follow her in another direction.

I can understand sign language. Not a lot but a good amount of the basics and other things.

I looked at Henry and Lydia and I started to follow Connie. Soon enough, they started to follow me as well and even dog too.

I can hear Daryl trying to get dog to follow him but it just didn't work. I tried not to laugh.

I kept thinking on what would've happened if Lydia did kill me.

What would Henry do without me? He'll probably crash and burn, it's that very easy. But I know that Henry needs me and I need him.

I was walking close to Henry and Lydia as we continued to walk.

We pretty much walked all night into the next day and trust me, my feet are hurting.

We were outside of a building and it was pretty big.

Hmmmm.... is that where we are gonna be?

"Alpha isn't gonna send an army because she doesn't have to. She'll send Beta." Lydia said to Daryl.

Henry, Connie and I were just watching the two of them talk.

"This Beta, is he their best fighter?" Daryl asked her.

Lydia nodded.

"Good. Kill him first." Daryl said and we started to walk to the building.

Daryl and Connie went in one way while I was with Henry and Lydia.

I don't know exactly what we are suppose to be doing here but I think this is a way we can hide for now and try to protect ourselves.

We would probably have to cover the windows so it can be dark and it's a better way of blocking the light from outside.

When Henry wasn't around, I went to talk to Lydia real quick.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a bit?" I asked Lydia and she nodded.

She looked at me.

"I just wanted to tell you that you are very lucky to have Henry in your life. You're lucky to have someone like him. He's pretty special." I said.

"Look, Ali. I appreciate that. But I also want you to know that when I first came here, I wasn't trying to take Henry from you. We just connected and it all happened. I didn't mean to make it seem like Henry didn't care about you anymore." Lydia said.
