Chapter 22

*Ali's P.O.V*

"Looks like we have the house to ourselves." Carl said coming into the living room.

"We pretty much do even though Judith is in another room." I giggled.

"Still alone." He smiled and then pressed a kiss to my lips.

We were kissing for a bit until we pulled away.

We could kiss for a while if I can be honest. It's just how we work, sometimes.

But it's nice to be able have this kind of alone time.

"Where did everyone go?" I asked.

"I'm sure some people are working outside. Dad and Michonne went somewhere and I don't even know where. They're probably looking for something. Maybe to find ways to get this done or doing some scavenging. Who knows?" He shrugged.

"They wanted that alone time too." I laughed a bit and that made him laugh a bit too.

"Pretty soon it's gonna be time to face them." Carl said.

"I know."

"But let's not worry about that right now." I added and then went to sit in his lap.

He hugged me tight and it was nice.

I love being in his arms.

We were just enjoying out quiet time until we heard something. It was pretty much the door bell.

Who could be at the door?

Carl got up and I got up as well. I followed him to the door. He opened it to see Enid on the other side.

"I thought you'll be at Hilltop with Maggie." Carl said but then let her in.

"I was but then had to come here." She sighed.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"Sasha." She simply said.

"What is happening with Sasha?" Carl asked looking directly at her.

Oh no.

"Is she dead?" I asked.

"No it's not that." Enid brushed it off.

"Then what is it?"

"She went to the sanctuary with Rosita and I didn't think that was a good idea because Maggie needs Sasha." She said.

"Maggie needs you too." Carl said.

"But she also needs Sasha. Sasha has been helping her a lot with the baby and when she lost Glenn."

Enid had a point.

"If Sasha is out and about right now with Rosita, then you need to be with her." I said.

"I'm worried about Sasha though if you get what I mean. Before she left, she wouldn't tell me what was going on and the saviors were at hilltop." Enid continued.

"They were at hilltop?" Carl asked.

Enid nodded.

"I couldn't tell if we were expecting them to come. But I had to hide Maggie and Daryl because I'm sure they're looking for Daryl because he left. But I know it didn't happen because I saw him before I came here."

"Maggie is gonna be worried if you're not there." I said.

"Maggie knows I'm looking after myself." Enid said.

"She needs you." Carl said.

"I'm not the only one she needs."

I feel a bit of heartbreak for Enid at the moment. She's like freaking out because Sasha went with Rosita and Enid knows that those two were tight at the hip. She thinks that something will happen to Sasha and she has been there for Maggie for a while.
