Sam had left again leaving just me and Perro.
When Perro was sure that Sam was far away enough so he would not be heard he knelt down towards me. "Oh my god. Sami, I'm so sorry!" He went to touch my face but I flinched.
He pulled his hand away. "Sami. He can't know I'm talking to you, he'll kill me."
I looked him in the eyes. "Yeah? Well Perro he going to kill me either way."
"No! He won't." I gave him a questioning look. Does he know the Sam I know?
"Look, you would think that but he doesn't want you dead. He will use it as a threat but without you he loses what he wants."
I though for a second. "What does he want?"
Perro went quiet and listened for any amount of sound.
He suddenly turned back to face me and said what I most feared he'd say.
"Jesse."
