"Hahaha, what are you talking about? Stop joking around and let's be serious alright?"
"I'm not playing around, Jung Hyemin. It was already over since the day your parents disapproved our relationship." Yoongi looked away. He knew it was an obvious lie, but at least he had a reason to leave her.
"You're lying," Yoongi guessed it right, Hyemin would eventually notice his lie. "You should know that you're a bad liar, Min Yoongi."
"Anyway, I'm moving back to Daegu tomorrow." Yoongi coughed, changing the topic quickly. He didn't want to get stuck in an awkward conversation for too long, considering how he's not good with words.
Hyemin laughed, "I really hope you're lying about this too."
"Believe me or not, it's up to you. I just feel that I have to tell you this before I go."
"B-But why? Is money the problem? I can lend you some... If that's the case."
Yoongi slammed his hand on the table abruptly, "I don't need your help. So please, don't talk about that again. You're making me sound pitiful."
That wasn't the first time Hyemin mentioned about lending some cash to Yoongi. And he hated that. He hated the embarrassment he had to feel throughout the conversation.
"You have Jungkook now, you don't need me, Hyemin."
"What are you talking about? Jungkook is just... Just a friend. He's different." Hyemin couldn't believe her ears. How could he throw her away just like that?
Yoongi pat his shirt and gave Hyemin a smile, a goodbye smile. "He's not just a friend, I'm can guarantee that. Take care, Hyemin. We'll meet again. Someday."
"What's with the long face?" Jungkook entered, holding a black plastic bag in his hand.
Food. Hyemin thought, finally something to make her forget about the incident last night.
"Nothing important," she smiled, "You got the food?"
"Here," Jungkook lay the plastic on her laps, leaning on the chair. "Oh, I've contacted your mom, she said she'll be back soon."
Hyemin grabbed the paper bag from the table and peak into the bag, "Porridge? Really?"
"Do you expect a steak when you're lying down on the hospital bed?" Jungkook replied, his eyes glued to his phone.
Hyemin sighed, staring at the colorless food. Well, better than starving.
"By the way, how did you get my mom's phone number?" Hyemin shoved a spoonful of porridge into her mouth.
"That," Jungkook said, "You don't have to know." he replied before standing up from his seat.
"What? But it's my mom! So I have to know." Hyemin complained and pointed at him with her spoon. She gasped when a few drops of porridge landed on the blanket, creating a small but annoying mess.
Jungkook groaned, pulling out a sheet of tissue. "I've never seen such a messy girl like you in my whole life."
He patted her mouth softly with the tissue, then wiped the mess off the blanket.
"Now you do." Hyemin smiled.
"I don't know if I have to feel happy over that," Jungkook tossed the tissue into the bin, "I have to go, dad is looking for me."
Hyemin nodded, what would the people in school think if they know an ordinary girl like her was making the principal's son look after her in the hospital overnight?
"Hey—"
"What?" Jungkook waited, holding the door knob.
"Thanks."

Hyemin's POV
Three days after I was discharged from the hospital, I'm back to school. Back to see the familiar faces again. For some reason, I missed the things that usually annoyed me every morning. Like those boys in the hallway who played baseball with brooms and paper ball. I swore I could have hugged them tightly when I saw them. But that would just make me a weird girl. And again, I don't enjoy drawing attention of people.
Mom was very shocked to see me lying down on the hospital bed and scolded me until I was out of the hospital. She went on blabbering about how I was lucky to have Jungkook looking after me in the hospital while I was gone for three days straight. I knew I should've called my mom earlier, but I know her very well. She would just nag at me and that's not what I wanted. Not when I'm sick.
Yoongi... Yoongi. He deserves someone better than a girl like me. Someone who can make him happy than I do.
Hyo In, she disappeared after I came back to school. I don't know, Taehyung told me not to think about her. It wasn't good for my mental health, he said. He had a point after all.
"Tag, you're it!"
And Jeon Jungkook, he was still, as annoying as ever. Annoyingly irresistible, that is.
