Hyemin's POV
"Thank you, please come again! Oh, and," the girl paused as she squatted. She popped out after a while, placing a blonde haired doll with a scarf around its head on the table. I was about to drop the coffee and run away with the doll. But then going on a jail doesn't sound good at all.
"Our cafe is having a special offer for couples today, please take this gift from our cafe. Last long, you both!" She chirped as she thrust her fist on the air, nodding her head firmly while I stared at her.
What?
I looked at Jungkook, who was blanked out after hearing the offer. I cleared my throat to avoid further misunderstanding,
"Ahm, I think you've mis-"
"Wow, really? Thank you, we'll be sure to come back again!" Jungkook butted in as he grabbed both of us (the doll and I) out of the café, leaving the cashier waving at us mirthfully.
I held on my coffee tightly. Spilling a cup of burning hot coffee on my pure white uniform? U-uh.
I pulled my hand away from Jungkook's, taking a step behind, "Are you out of your mind? We are NOT even dating-"
"Yet." Jungkook finished, walking off before I had the time to process what he just said.
I ran over to Jungkook and slapped the back of his head, receiving a painful groan from him. I smiled in approval. Serve him right.
"Jesus. Why are you so abusive? Oh, wait. Our first day gift—"
"Just give me the freaking doll," I sighed.
Jungkook quietly handed me doll, sipping his coffee.
"Ah, what a long day..." I exhaled, grasping on the doll carefully.
"Are you going to start some emotional poem now? If you're planning to, please don't."
"Oh please, I wouldn't waste my excellent poem skill on someone like you." I snickered as I pushed his side lightly, receiving the same reaction.
I wouldn't have realize how loud we were being on the fully packed street until someone not-so-secretly said to her friend, "Dating season, huh? I remember the day when my boyfriend and I had our first kiss on winter season."
I coughed and slowly released my grasp from Jungkook's hair, sipping on my latte at the midst of the awkwardness. I stared at the red-orange sky. A sign that the day will come to an end soon.
"Hey!" Jungkook raised his voice, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me to his side.
I gulped, surprised at his abrupt action. "What was that?"
"You could have kiss the freaking pole. Please, watch where you're going." Jungkook rolled his eyes, letting go of my hand.
I rubbed my arm lightly. His grip was so strong... I wouldn't be surprised if I discover a bruise on my arm.
"Oh, bus 59. That's our bus." I pointed at the blue bus that slowly made its stop.
The bus was moderately filled with people, mostly office workers who were getting off work at this hour. I made my way to the end of the bus, picking the seat beside the window.
I glanced over at Jungkook, who had his earpiece in both side of his ears. Geez, he could at least take one side off, considering I am still here right beside him.
"Hey," I called.
No respond.
I poked his side, raising my voice. "Hey, Jeon Jungkook!"
Still no respond. I groaned, why was he being unresponsive all of a sudden?
I reached out my hand and attempted to pull his earpiece off when the bus made a sharp turn, making me lose my balance as my head painfully collided with the glass.
Thud. A strong arm slammed against the window, making me flinched.
I gulped, my eyes travelled from the arms to the flawless face of the veiny arm's owner.
Jeon Jungkook, he had the ability to make me, Jung Hyemin, focus on no one but him. His eyes that contained thousands of unspoken words. His scar. His faint scar on his cheek that I had never notice before until now. His hair that covered one-third of his left eye, earpiece falling off his ear smoothly and dangle in the air.
Everything about him looked so perfect at that moment.
I wanted to push his head away so badly and scream 'why the heck are you looking at me with that gaze?', but why can't I?
"Attention to all the passengers!" The speaker suddenly called out. Making me jumped in surprise and to make the matter worse, the back of my head kissed the window, creating a huge 'bang' sound.
"Fuck," I muttered under my breath.
"I'm sorry for the sudden stop, but the bus has broken down. Please kindly get off the bus. As an apology for this unexpected incident, we will repay your money."

The wind hit my face as I ambled along the street, staring at the ground and stumbling on tiny rocks from time to time. No matter how much I tried to get the bus incident out of my head, it just keep coming back.
I hoped I didn't do bizarre things like licking my lips while staring at his face.
"Uh, that... Your doll!" Jungkook exclaimed awkwardly as he handed the doll from before.
Look, I was spacing out too much that I almost abandon a doll alone in a broke down bus.
I took the doll from his hands, "Thanks..."
Jungkook smiled. Not a forced, awkward smile. Just... a warm and genuine smile, "Well, see you uhm, on Monday?"
I nodded and turned around, not having a chance to push open the gate, I was pulled by a strong arm.
"Jungkook?" It came out as a whisper.
Jungkook tilted his head a little before giving his signature, playboy smile. Damn, stop it. Heart.
"W-What?"
Jungkook said nothing, but he continued to stare into my eyes. His gaze was soft and warm.
He planted a soft yet quick peck on my cheek. I froze. Heat rushing up quickly to my face.
"Well then, goodnight." Jungkook waved and disappeared into the dark alley as if nothing happened before.
I sighed, my eyes fixed on the blinking street light. I don't know. Perhaps I've fall for him. Hard.
