Hyemin's POV

"Mom, remember that one time when I said I will fall for no one but that blonde guy in the cartoon?" I thundered into the room, staring at mom's backside and patiently waiting for her reply.

"Dear, I do remember that. I even gave up on dreaming of having grandchildren." Mom rolled her eyes, drying her hands on her velvet apron.

I smiled ear to ear, laying my coat gently on the arm of the chair.

"Why? Do you have a crush on someone who is not a cartoon character?"

"Hm... I guess?" I shrugged, absentmindedly unlocking my phone upon the notification.

Jeon Jungkook: Hey.

I swore, it was the hardest 'hey' to reply to. Should I reply with a 'hi?', or 'what do you want'? I needed to sound like I'm NOT affected by his peck. Not at all. I need to sound like the clueless fool like I was.

What?

A sigh of relief escaped my mouth after barely replying to his text message. Were my hands supposed to get sweaty and shaking when replying to someone's text? If this sickness did exist, would it be called the textophobia? I wouldn't mind being the first person to find out that this type of sickness exist in the universe.

I flinched at the vibration of my phone.

Jeon Jungkook: I hope you don't think about that too much.

I cocked a brow. By 'that', did he mean... 'That' peck? Yes, it must be. He couldn't be talking about anything other 'that'. I tapped on the case of my phone uncomfortably, flailing my arms in every direction before I stopped trying to reply to Jungkook's text.

"Are you alright? What's wrong with the sour face there, young lady?" Mom set a cup of warm tea on the table. Untying her apron; hanging it on the hook hanger beside the refrigerator.

I threw my head on the table, letting out an unpleasant growl. "I don't know, mom. I guess I just need a long~ rest."

For now, all I have to do is to be oblivious at anything that happened today.

3rd person's POV

Jungkook waited. An hour and five minutes; six minutes soon. But why hasn't she reply yet?

"So she is going to leave me on read?" Jungkook stared at the screen of his phone intensely. Their conversation still ended with the message he sent hours ago.

Did he make a terrible decision on giving her peck on the cheek? Was it too fast, too sudden?

Anyway, Jungkook himself couldn't stopped himself from slapping himself at the thought of that incident.

"Sorry for interrupting your time, young master. But we have an important guest waiting downstairs." One of the maid knocked on the door lightly.

Jungkook tossed his phone on the bed, opening the door that was always shut tightly.

"Who is it?"

"Ms. Subin is here, she is at the living room right now." She delivered the message carefully, afraid of Jungkook's sudden outburst. Just like what happened few years ago.

"What are you talking about, Subin shouldn't be in Korea at this time." Jungkook replied, a slight hint of uneasiness in his voice.

The sound of high heels click-clacking through the hall way interrupted their conversation, "I was wondering what took you guys so long."

Jungkook's knees were about to give up on him upon the arrival of an unexpected guest. His mind went empty and he hated the feeling of cold sweats started to take over him slowly.

But one thing for sure, why now out of all time?
