Six Month Later
I wake up and I have to roll side to side in order to get up. My belly is growing bigger by the day and it's getting harder and harder to do the mundane things. Trinity is growing like a weed she is two years old now and very independent; she has given up her chupon all the way now. She is fully potty trained and has not had one accident. She has refused to sit on her highchair now she says she is not a baby. She now sits on a booster chair at the table with us. Joaquin is busting his ass at the Ranch with daddy and his bull riding. He has even started building our new home on our new land. He has competed in a lot of Bull riding competitions through the state of Texas. He has won almost every one of them except two where he placed second he has brought in a lot of money winning them. Who knew! He is saving all his winnings for a rainy day he says.
Today is our first day of the spring break and Joaquin's big Houston Competition is next week. He leaves tomorrow to prepare for the competition; I will miss him badly. He has bulked up in muscles and he looks mighty fine. He says that he is going to keep up his workout regime when he is done. The guys will be traveling with me to Houston by airplane next Thursday. There is no way I can sit in a car for four hours being seven months pregnant. We tried to find out what we were having last month but the baby did not cooperate so it's still a mystery to us. Today Joaquin will be working on the house instead of the Ranch. He hired Joseph as his assistant and I so glad that he did; he is my little spy. He lets me know when Joaquin is overworking himself that happens a lot.
I get up and find Trinity playing in her room with her books. She looks at me and smiles at me. She comes up to me and kisses me and then goes to kiss her baby she is so excited to meet her sibling. I know she must be hungry and she must have to go potty. She knows she is not allowed to go in the bathroom by herself because when she does she is mischievous. Like the time she put lotion all over her body and hair it took me forever to wash that shit out of her hair. When she is too quiet she is pretty much up to no good.
"Let's go potty and brush your teeth baby girl."
"Okay mama," she says taking my hand in hers. "Not today mama?"
"No Honey not today," I say back. Every day she asks the same thing. If her baby will come today. It makes me smile. I give her the tooth brush with her Frozen tooth paste on it. "Don't swallow the tooth paste Trin."
"I not mama." She says as she brushes her teeth. Once she is done I take the tooth brush and brush her teeth. Joaquin asks me why I brush her teeth before she eats. I say because you try to wrangle a now hyper two year old.
"Let's feed Lobo now." I say and she follows me to the back door. Joaquin ended up caving and bringing one of his cousin Teresa puppies home for Trinity. I was pissed off. "Call him Trinity."
"Lobo eat now." She screams and here comes the very clumsy hound dog comes running tripping on his ears. "Good Lobo."
"Okay let's feed mama's baby girl. What do you want to eat?"
"I wo-wo." She says climbing to into her chair.
"You want huevos, let me see if we have anymore eggs left baby. I made daddy some egg sandwiches for work." I say. I am glad that I found three. I don't need a meltdown today.
I cook her eggs while I warm up one of my abuela's tortillas for her. I put butter on it and give to her. I let her eggs cool down before I give them to her. She no longer lets me feed her and it makes me sad; she is growing up. We finish our breakfast and we get ready she is starting to pick out her own clothes and she is a tiny fashionista. The Gooch is coming over today to pick up Trinity to take her to the park for a bit; I can't keep up with her like I used to. It will give me time to rest up and I excited for a couple hours of me time. There is a knock at the door and I open it and the Gooch and Jeremy are there.
