She yells so loud that it startles Trinity awake and the baby begins to cry. I pat her back to soothe her. She buries her tiny head against my neck. She looks over at Olivia and cries more.

"Mama," she cries to me. It breaks my heart.

"She ain't your mama, I'm your mama little girl," she yells. Olivia tries to pull Trin from my arms with no avail because Trin's and my own death grip keep it from happening.

"Bitch, I don't care that we are in a church, I will beat your fucking ass," The Gooch says through gritted teeth.

Joaquin is at my side in two seconds flat. His eyes are deadly as he stares at her. He takes Trin from me and hands her to Changs.

"Take her in the church Noel. She doesn't need to be here for this," he says.

"Sure thing, Joaquin," he says. He grabs Sabrina by the hand and they quickly head into the church.

"So now you're her mama?" he snarls out.

"I gave birth to her!"

"That doesn't mean shit to me now Olivia! Where were you when she was sick, when she learned how to walk? I saw you twice at the Rodeos and you never once asked to see her even though she was not even ten feet from you!"

"I wasn't ready, now I am."

"That's only because you saw her being held by another woman. The woman that treats her more like a mama than you ever have!"

"I want to get to know her, Joaquin, that's all. I have papers written up for a court date."

"Court date for what?"

"To get rights for visitation with my daughter."

"When is it?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"Well it took me forever to find you, so it is tomorrow in Houston."

"What the fuck? You are just telling me now. That is four hours away from Laredo."

"I told you I didn't know where you stayed at."

"How did you find me?"

"Well, my boyfriend told me."

"Your boyfriend? How does your boyfriend know me?"

"My boyfriend is Arnie Vega," she says.

"Oh, is that right," he says. It makes my skin crawl when I hear the name Arnie Vega. My dad comes over to us.

"So you mean to tell me Arnie told you where Joaquin was?" Dad asks, pissed as all hell.

"Yes, he told me that he was working at the Ranch. He also told me she was calling another bitch mama."

"Call me that again and I swear to God I will mess you up." I spit out. Joaquin grabs me tightly in his arms.

"Never, I mean never call the woman I love a bitch."

"Okay, I apologize too, but she is my daughter not yours."

"Obviously she does not know you at all and that is a shame," I say as my dad leads me into the church. As he walks me into the church he grabs Arnie by the arm.

"Arnie, I gave you a chance to redeem yourself and you blew it. You're fired! Get that bitch and leave now," dad says.

"Fine, but you haven't heard the last of me."

"We will see about that."

The service starts and Joaquin has not come in yet. I am getting worried about him, I look at Changs and it's as if he reads my mind. I get up and walk out of the church with Changs in tow. We find Joaquin sitting on a brick wall looking down. As we get closer we see that he has tears falling down his face. I notice that he has bloody knuckles and he has bruise forming on his face.

"Baby, what happened?" I asked.

"Fucking Arnie tried to sucker punch me. I am not the fat little kid I used to be. I beat his ass."

"I'm sorry that this is happening to you, Joaquin. Please let me lend my services to you tomorrow," Changs says.

"Services?" Joaquin asks.

"I am a family lawyer and I can practice in Texas now."

"Thanks Noel," he says.

"Let me see the paperwork she gave you," Changs says. Gordo hands him the packets. Noel thumbs through it quickly. His eyes go wide and man he is freaking me out. "Joaquin, she is not going for visitation. She is going for custody."

"What the hell did you just say Changs?" I ask with tears in my eyes.

"She is trying to take her away from me? Man, what if she is taken away from me? They will not give her to me because I am a single father, will they?"

"Usually in these cases sadly they do not, unless... unless" he begins.

"Unless what!?" We both say at the same time. Our anxiety is on high and we don't what to do. Everything can change in the blink of an eye and I would do anything to let him keep his baby girl. She is his world and he is hers. She is my world now too.

"Ya'll can get married," he says.
