It's been three days since I have seen Joaquin; he told me that he needed to be alone. When he is having bad days he is not fun to be around so he did this for me; so he didn't act like a dick to me. I completely understand. Sometimes he needS that time alone just him and God but he let me send Changs over to make sure he was getting all the proper care. I have been back and forth from the hospital and hotel with Trinity. She has been a little trooper so we decided today that we would have a fun day at the hospital; yeah I know how fun can a hospital be. We play all her favorite games and eat all her favorite junky stuff. Gurrero and Trinity go down to the cafeteria to go and get all her wishes as far as snacks go. My door opens and Changs comes into my room slightly.

"Are you decent?" he asks.

"No I'm buck ass naked! What do you think?"'

"Damn you and Joaquin have the same attitude," he laughs as he walks in.

"He learned that from me." I giggle. "How is he?"

"He is grouchy as ever but he is sleeping now. I'm going to have dinner with my family. I'll go back with Joaquin in an hour or so."

"Thank you so much for everything."

"Anything for you Tejana. You're my little sister. Blood doesn't make you family; Loyalty does. You know that."

"I know," I begin to cry. "I am just nervous that he will not accept being paralyzed."

"That's where all the support comes from." He says kissing the top of my head. "I better go before Sabrina kicks my ass."

"Tell her I love her okay and tell her sorry for taking you so much."

"I will see you later." He says leaving the room. I feel guilty that I have been relying on him so much.

Trinity and Guerro come back with a bunch of junk to eat; I hope that she does not get sick. Narizon comes in with Trinity's favorite matching game. We set it up a little card table that Changs brought in the other day. Narizon gets a call and his eyes light up when he sees who is calling; seems that he met a nurse the first day here and they are smitten with each other. I haven't met her yet but from what I hear she is really sweet and Jessica Rabbit beautiful. Guerro comes and sits with us to play the game.

"How are you Gisela doing?" I ask.

"We are good. I miss her but I need to be here for you."

"You don't have to be here. Go be with her Octavio."

"Woah you called me Octavio. Did you know that Joaquin knew about us?"

"Wait, how did he know about us? He asked me but I told him that it wasn't important."

"Wow Tejana that hurts I was not important." He laughs but I can tell I hurt his feelings. I feel shitty.

"You know what I mean Guerro! Besides you know good and well that we sucked at being a couple. You are a dick when your with someone. What did he say to you?"

"I know I'm a dick boyfriend but it's different with Gisela. He just said sorry to me that he was marrying you. He said he knew when ya'll told me that you were getting married."

"How did he know that?"

"He said that I looked really sad and that he knew instantly that I loved you too." He says quietly.

"You loved me?" I say shocked.

"I did very much but like I told Joaquin the better man won. You deserve the world Jules and I know he will give it to you. Things happen for a reason and things don't happen for a reason too. You know that song about Unanswered Prayers?" he asks and I nod. "If you never married Joaquin I would have never met Gisela and she is my soul mate."

"I am so happy for you Octavio. Truly I am!"

"Changs gave me a hard time because of how much Gisela looks like you. When he finally got to know her he said that you couldn't be more different."

"I thought that was a bit strange too but I am really glad that you're happy."

"Me too."

"Mama me pway the game now."

"I'm sorry baby girl! Let's play match game now!" I say with a smile.

We play the game for a bit 'letting' her win all the rounds of Nemo match game. She eats so much food that she is almost in a food coma. We are sitting on my bed watching Clifford The Big Red Dog; this is her first time and she loves it. Guerro's phone rings and he goes out to answer it quickly. Narizon is back and is watching the TV with us. He tells me that he saw clowns visiting the patient's rooms they better not come in here Trinity will flip the fuck out; she hates clowns. His phone rings and he leaves the room too; what the hell is going on with these guys and their phones. Trinity begins to color on a special book that the color only shows up with special markers. We have our legs tucked under us as I watch her color.

"That is beautiful my love."

"Yes mama bootiful," she smiles.

The door opens and Changs comes in after begin gone all day. He smiles broadly at us. What is this guy up too? He is holding the door open wide with his foot; something is up.

"What are you doing Noel?"

"Hold on a guest is coming over." He says.

"It better not be a C.L.O.W.N!" I say and I point to Trinity. "She will freak out!"

"He is a C.L.O.W.N for sure!" he laughs.

"Shut the fuck up!" a voice says. Joaquin's voice. I hear wheels on the hospital linoleum floor. He must be being pushed in his chair.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"Hold your horses Tejana." Changs says as he moves to make way for Joaquin's nurse Fatima. What is she doing? I look at the door and my hearts goes into my stomach.

Joaquin is standing there pushing a hospital walker! HE IS WALKING!
