Jules

The past four weeks have gone by so fast it seems like we blinked and a month passed. We have been married for a month; it has been wonderful and a lot of work too but so worth it. We figured out how to be intimate now that Trinity has been camping out in our room since we came back from Houston. We are slowly trying to introduce her back to her big girl room but she is such a hard headed little one.

School has been amazing and really hard at the same time. My students are superstars and they surprise me every day how bright they are. The hard part was Trinity and her huge meltdowns every morning when I would drop her off to her class. She would scream so loudly that I could hear her from my class room. It got so bad one day that I had to call Joaquin to come and get her; she had such bad anxiety in the beginning. We had a psychologist come in and do play therapy with her during her class time. What the doctor noticed was she was afraid that Mommy and Daddy wouldn't come back to get her. We had to keep repeating to her that we would not forget her and we would come back and get her.

"Trinity, Mama and daddy would never forget you," I remember Joaquin saying one day at dinner time.

"You no f'get me daddy?"

"Never Baby Doll."

Joaquin was able to take off his sling and was excited about that but still not happy about not bulling riding for a while. He takes Trinity to physical therapy with him; they do it together. They took off her arm cast and replaced the long leg cast for a shorter one. She is re-learning how to walk with cast; they gave her a little walker that she pushes around. She is a daredevil pushing that damn walker as fast as she can; I am scared she'll break something else. She is her daddy's daughter after all. My dad just got her a pony which I was totally against but it was all the guys against me. She has been learning to ride with daddy and Joaquin's help and of course she loves it.

She adjusted to school in no time; she loves her teachers fiercely and they love her just the same. Just as we were getting into the swing of our new lives we smacked with another huge whammy. The school was hit with the Norovirus a horrible stomach virus; it was so bad that the school had to closed down to have it disinfected. I thought we got lucky and it missed Trinity and me but my god I was so wrong. One day while Joaquin and I were getting dinner together I sat Trinity in her high chair to watch her beloved Moana she was whining about something.

"What is it my Love?" I asked from the kitchen.

"My pansa owie mama." She cried.

"Oh your tummy hurts?" I begin to ask as she proceeds to vomit all over herself and the highchair.

Not only did Trinity get the Norovirus we all did including Guerro and Narizon. They were supposed to leave the next day but had to postpone their trip back home for a few weeks. It was horrible; it was the worst week ever. I am glad we had two bathrooms; vomiting and diarrhea for days. Who cares about being embarrassed at that point; Joaquin and I got past that real quick while one was crapping the other was puking. We went through cases and cases of diapers and I got her really far with potty training too; it is going to back track us with that but what can we do? I felt horrible that the guys got it too but I selfishly was happy they stayed a little bit longer I will miss them terribly.

The Gooch went home for about a week and came back because she missed Santiago so much. She is an official Tejana; now to convince the other two to stay. Changs and Sabrina are adjusting to parenthood really well. Baby Alexis is chubby baby girl version of her daddy; so we her dubbed her Changa. Trinity loves her so much she loves to love on her when they would visit us.

"I baby mama." She said to a few weeks ago.

"You want a baby?"

"Mmmhmmm," she said with a smile.

"One day baby, one day."

For the last week we have been slowly on the mend; no more vomiting or diarrhea. Trinity still gags from time to time and I feel the same as she does but I can manage. Last week was another story all together. School will be opening again next week but we need to have a meeting to figure how we will make up for lost time. We will be going on Thanksgiving break so that will be another week that we will be closed. That is the same week as the Texas State Bull riding Championship and Joaquin is chomping at the bit to get released to start to practicing. He promised to listen to what Dr. Reyes told him so far he has held up his bargain to me. He is been getting snippy now and again and I quick to put him straight real quick.

"I can't stand not being able to practice Jules, maybe if I go on the mechanical bull and go slow I won't hurt myself," he said to me one night.

"Like fuck you are!"

"What the fuck Jules, I am not a kid. I feel fine."

"Stop acting like a child and I will not treat your ass like one." I snipped back at him.

"I don't want to fight with you Darlin' but I am so passionate about bull riding."

"I understand that baby but if you get hurt than that's it not more riding." I said and he just nods.

I hated him seeing him like that; he would get really down not being able to do what he loves. I would do anything to put a smile on his face and I mean anything. Sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn't but it was fun trying. I would do anything for him; he really wants to have another little one and so do I. When my period came last week we were a bit sad about it we joked that it's still fun to practice.

Today Trinity gets her leg cast removed and she will go to physical therapy with her daddy. He makes it special for her because it can get painful so he takes her out for ice cream after. I have to go to a meeting at the school the school is also making us get clearances to go back to work. So I made an appointment with Dr. Reyes. I get Trinity in the truck and head over to the ranch so I can drop her off with Gordo. I pull into the gated fence and drive to the house I see Joaquin's truck but I don't see him outside. I take Trinity inside the house to say hello to Abuela and my daddy.

"Hola Abuela," I say and kiss the top of her head.

"Hola Mija, hola mi amor," she says holding arms out to Trinity. She hugs Trinity and hand her back to me.

"Hola Tita," Trinity says on a giggle as my daddy tickles her side. "Papa silly."

"Yes he is very silly." I laugh. "Daddy where is Gordo?"

"I saw him in the barn a bit ago," he says.

I take Trinity down the steps and I begin to make my way over to the barn; I open the large door and walk all the way in. A noise catches my attention so I look over to see my husband on that god damn mechanical bull!

Wow really!
