Hell Hath No Fury....

I am so livid right now but I have to hold back my wrath because Joaquin is not alone; Jeremy Johnson is here helping him. I am grateful to him for helping out my daddy for the last four weeks but right now I'm so fucking angry. Jeremy's eyes meet mine and they go wide. Joaquin's back is to me so he has no clue that he has been busted. Jeremy takes off his cowboy hat and tips it to me.

"Afternoon ma'am," he says.

"Hello Jeremy," I say and notice Joaquin stiffen up immediately. He lowers his head.

"Fuck," he says in a low whisper. Fuck is right mister!

"Hi there Miss Trinity, let's go find carrots to feed Bonnie so Mama and Daddy can talk okay?"

"Mama I Bonnie wif 'mermy?"

"Yes you go and feed your pony with Mr. Jeremy."

"Be easy on him Jules," he says with a whisper.

"Not on your life Jeremy." I say and touch his forearm as a silent thank you. Just as they are leaving Trinity turns around in his arms and looks at Joaquin.

"Dada bad boy, you 'pank him mama," she says pointing her tiny index finger and shaking it.

"You want me to spank Daddy?" I ask trying not to laugh. She nods "I will see you in a little while mamita."

They leave and it's like a stare down between Joaquin and I. I am so upset that I am shaking he begins to make his way over to me; I backup and he gets visibly angry with me. Why is he mad at me he is the one that lied to me? I feel the anger bubbling up and I know the tears are soon to fall and they do. He comes and grabs me to him as I cry and I want to pull away but I don't. I muster the courage to pull away and look him in the face.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing Joaquin? You lied to my damn face. You promised me that you would not get on the bull! You do not understand how this hurts me."

"Darlin' this is not what it looks like! I swear." He says.

"Wow Joaquin! Sure looks like you were riding the fucking bull to me." I scream. "I can't believe you Gordo."

"Please baby, please believe me. You dad asked me to take a look at the bull because it was not working. He said it felt like it was catching on something so I only sat on it for one rotation to see where the catch was." He says starting to tear up. "I swear Darlin." He has run his fingers through his hair in desperation so many times. The barn door opens and daddy come in.

"What the hell is going on here I can hear Ya'll hollering from the house?" Daddy says looking annoyed.

"Did you tell him to get on the mechanical bull to fix it?"

"Yes I did. Why?"

"Why the fuck would you do that knowing he is injured?" I yell.

"Watch your mouth young lady. I mean it!" He snaps.

"She thought I lied to her Don Hector she thought I have been riding this whole time behind her back." Joaquin says with a shaky voice.

"No he hasn't Mija, I just told him to check where the catch was." My dad says.

"Why didn't you ask Jeremy?" I snip back.

"I did but because he is not familiar with the bull he couldn't tell where it was. So I had to ask Joaquin."

"Ya'll just go me all messed up," I say and notice that my thick Texas accent has made her appearance. "I am late for my meeting now. I have to go. Joaquin can we talk about this later?"

"Sure Darlin. Thanks a lot Hector my ass is so much trouble," I hear him say as I walk out.

I feel bad that I screamed at him like that but it looked real bad; real bad. I cannot believe that daddy asked him to do that. I really upset with him too. I see Trinity on Bonnie and wave goodbye to them. I must have gave Jeremy such a great impression of me today; a crazy bitch. I get to my meeting and wait of few minutes to gather myself. My eyes are still really red if anyone asks I'm gonna say its allergies. I sit in the hour long meeting that goes over how we will making up the classroom work in sections. Someone of the teachers are upset by it but I only teach kindergarten so I can go at my students pace. Once the meeting is over I haul ass to the doctor's appointment I am ten minutes late; I hate being late. I walk in and Mrs. Reyes greets me with a smile.

"I am so sorry Mrs. Reyes, we had an emergency meeting at work. How is Lety doing?" I ask. Their granddaughter is one of my students.

"She is much better now. How is baby girl doing?"

"Much better. She gets her leg cast off today so Joaquin is taking over to Dr. Shephard today.

She takes me back to the exam room and gives me a gown to change into. I flip through different magazines as still stew in my anger. The door opens and Dr. Reyes walks in with a huge smile I almost forget that I am angry; almost. He sits across from me and takes out a pad and a pen.

"So Juliana, how are you feeling today?"

"I feel better but I still get nauseated like Trinity does. I also feel really drained not sure if it takes your energy a few days to back to normal after being that sick."

"With something like Norovirus it can. Let's run some tests just to double check. When was your last menstrual period?"

"Actually last week."

"Was it normal?"

"I think so."

"Okay I am going to add a blood pregnancy test just to make sure. Since you say it was normal I don't believe you will be pregnant. Let me get my nurse to draw your blood I will order them STAT. I will get your letter ready for work."

"Sounds good." I say.

"I will call you this evening with the results," he says leaving the room.

The nurse comes in and takes about five tubes or so; it makes me feel a little bit dizzy so she gives me juice. I drink the juice and get up and get ready to leave the room. I go to the front desk and say good bye to Mrs. Reyes; I grab a lollypop for Trinity and myself for later. I walk out the front door and see Joaquin standing against the wall with his ankles crossed. He is wearing his black cowboy hat; my favorite one. He looks at me with love in his eyes.

Why the fuck does he have to look so handsome when I'm mad at him!
