Crashing Down

Joaquin left four days ago and the day he left Trinity had the biggest meltdown. The last few days this little girl has tried my patience. She refused to eat or do anything I tell her to do; I know she misses her daddy but this not okay. She has gotten a few pow pows for her naughty behavior it does not help that Joaquin cannot call very often because of his really crazy schedule. He has had huge opportunities in Houston like huge major magazine interviews and even did a photoshoot for a huge boot store. He left his itinerary with me so I know where he will be and on which days. Just as Trinity is having a major meltdown my phone rings; thank God it's Joaquin on facetime.

"Thank God! She acting like a wild child." I say breathless.

"Wow Darlin' you look worn out." He says trying to be cute. He hears her screaming in the background and his face changes. "Put her on."

"Trinity Daddy wants to talk to you!" I say loudly over her screaming. She instantly stops screaming.

"Dada!" She shouts into the screen.

"What is all that screaming you're doing? Is that how we behave?" he asks sternly.

"No Dada," she says casting her eyes down. His face is showing some sadness.

"Do you miss Dada?" he asks.

"Uhh huhhh," she cries.

"Baby daddy misses you, mama and the baby very much. Ya'll come see me tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" she asks.

"Yes but can you be a good girl and mind mama. Now get your jammies on and get to bed so you can come see me tomorrow."

"Okay," she says and runs off to her room to get her jammies.

"Shit this little girl has been possessed or something. She has been super clingy she didn't even want Noel to hold her one day."

"I am so sorry Darlin' I don't know what has gotten into her."

"She misses her daddy. Hell I miss you so much too."

"I got jammies dada," she says from across. "I nigh nigh now."

"Okay my love good night see you tomorrow."

"Tomorrow," she says back.

"Okay Darlin' I am gonna get some sleep. I love ya'll to the moon and back."

"Me too Gordo see you soon Mi Vida." I say and his face disappears from my screen. "Okay little miss you want to sleep in your cama or mine."

"I nigh nigh you mama."

"My bed it is." I say picking her up and lie her down.

She falls asleep pretty quickly thank goodness. I finish with last minute packing and I so exhausted by that point I just hit the pillow and I am out. I have a sleepless night I have a weird feeling but I have no idea what it is; maybe it's just pregnancy brain. I finally fall asleep after tossing and turn for a long while. I hear my alarm go off and I force myself to get up and get ready. I take Trinity a shower with me to cut back on time. I get us ready and I begin to take our luggage to the living room and my front door open and Changs walks in. I forgot I gave him a key a while ago; He has a scowl on his face.

"What?" I ask.

"Why the fuck are you carrying that suit case it's heavy! You'll hurt yourself."

"I am pregnant not injured!" I sass back.

"Girl you never listen ! Hella hard headed and shit." Changs says and laughs. "Ya'll ready? The airport shuttle is down stairs."

"Yes we are. Trinity you ready to go see daddy?"
