Real life
"Hey babe, wake up" I felt someone shake me, I half ass tried to push whoever it was away from me.
"Noo go away" I whine, trying to move away from whoever was rude enough to wake me.
"Melissaaaaa, I'm hungry. Wake up and come get food with me. Pleaseeeeee. I'll pay" I hear a muffled voice whining to me.
"Food." I pop my head up, and take in my surrounds, not recognizing the room that I'm in. The room was very minimalistic, and the bed was huge, I finally looked over and saw Diego looking down at me...
"Yes, food Melissa, now get that cute butt out of bed so we can go get it." He says, taking my arms pulling me up. As he pulled me up, I noticed I wasn't wearing the clothing I went to bed in, I was dressed in an oversized hoodie and sweats.
"Uh Diego did i fall asleep here? and whose clothes am I wearing and how did I get in them?"
"Well you knocked out halfway through the 5th movie so i carried you into the guest room, and well those are my clothes, I changed you cause I figured sleeping in skinny jeans wouldn't be comfortable. I swear I didn't do anything bad or creepy. I only fuck with conscious, consenting and legal girls." He sputters out as quick as he could. I nod my head, having a gut feeling that Diego was telling the truth.
"I believe you Diego," I hop out of bed, "Lets go get that food." I felt that last night Diego and I were able to bond when Ethan left, and that maybe this friendship thing could work between us.
We end up at a cute little dinner, and we were seated in a booth towards the back, instead of sitting across from me, Diego sat next to me.
"So, since we're friends now, we should get to know each other huh ma?" Diego said as he looked over the menu.
"Yeah sure, what do you want to know?" I ask, taking a sip of coffee that the waitress had brought over a few minutes before.
"Idk why'd you move out to L.A?" he asks,
"Originally moved out here for school, still doing the school thing but my Instagram started to get popular after I met Ethan. So now I'm juggling both school and being a basic Instagram model, I'm not really sure."
"Shit you in school? Which school? How'd you meet Ethan?" He asks, taking a sip of my coffee.
"Hey that's my coffee Diego!" I whine, "I'm at UCLA, but I only go on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I actually met Ethan on campus. He was meeting his ex-Brielle, and literally ran me down with his skateboard. I made him buy me a coffee for making me late to class and the rest is history, we instantly clicked, and he has been my best friend since." I say, smiling at my memory.
"That's cool that you're doing the whole school thing, school was never really my thing. And damn Ethan being careless, running over something so precious. And I remember Brielle, they dated a few years ago, right? Bitch was crazy." Taking another sip of my coffee.
"You dropped out of school, right? When did that happen? And was there like a specific reason, or just not your thing? And yeah bitch was crazy, she tried to fight me just cause E and I were apparently too close."
"School wasn't for me, but I think it was a mix of things. Didn't like the people or the environment, and it would give anxiety and it was just too much and I didn't really see the point, ya know? And no way, Ethan mentioned that Brielle had lost her shit on a friend of his, but he said his friend could handle Brielle's ass if shit ever went down." He said laughing, the waitress made her way over to us.
"Y'all ready to order?" She asks, looking Diego up and down.
"Yeah, I'm ready can I get the meat lovers omelet, with hash brown and bacon please. What about you Mel?" He looks toward me.
"Oh, can I get the two-egg breakfast, eggs scrambled, hash browns and sausages please." I smile at the waitress and hand her my menu.
"Alright, I'll get those orders ready for you. If you need anything else just let me know. "She looked over to Diego who was staring down at his phone.
"Oh, can I get a hot chocolate too?" I ask before she walks away.
"Yeah no problem!" She says, quickly turning around towards the kitchen.
"Is she gone?" Diego asks still staring at his phone,
"Oh, uh yeah." I say, he put down his phone, "So what were we talking about before she came over?"
"You were telling me about how school wasn't for you, and it made you uncomfortable and like your reasons for dropping it totally make sense. School really isn't for everyone, you can have a life without school. And how I could totally take Brielle in a fight. Anyway, what got you into rapping?"
"Well at first, I wasn't really into rapping at first, I was doing photography. But at one of my friends shows I set down my camera and looked away for a second and poof it was gone. It was cheaper to get studio time than a new camera, so that's how I got into it. I fell in love with and its really starting to pay off."
Conversation flows steadily as we wait for our food, about 20 minutes later the waitress walked over with our food and my drink, her shirt seemed to be unbuttoned a few more buttons and her skirt to somehow shrink."Here you go," she turned to Diego, "Again, anything else you need let me know."
"Ok, you heard her Melissa, if you need anything let her know." He looked over at me smirking, and the waitress huffed and stormed off.
"You better tip her well, you didn't need to be so rude about it. But i still think it's crazy how you got into rapping! It was a complete accident and it turned out to be an amazing thing for you. But its so amazing that you're doing something that you love." I say before taking a huge bite off food. I moaned when the taste hit me, "So fucking good, so is this hot chocolate. I'm in heaven."
"Don't move," Diego says, he picked up his phone and took a picture of me. "Cute." He said for putting his phone away.
"Diego, this breakfast is amazing, and I feel like we can actually be really good friends. And I feel like you're a great a guy." I smile over at him.
"I feel the same, thank you for coming with me. I've had a great time, and I think it would be great if we could spend some more time together."
"Yeah, I'd love that." I smile, and we continue to eat our breakfast with conversation flowing easily between us.
