Real Life
*two months later*
"Diego, you need to get up."
"Never." He mumbles, pulling his hoodie over his face, turning away from me.
"You have an interview in an hour, Stat is going to kill me if I don't get you there on time." I say, sitting on top of him.
"I don't want to go; can't we just stay in bed."
"Diego, get up. It's already 11." I feel his hands find my waist.
"Technically can't get up with you on me, but what if I canceled and I buy you food instead." I move to get off him, but his grip tightens.
"Let me get up so you don't have an excuse." I squirm in his lap.
"Melissa I will not be going anywhere if you keep moving." He groans, gripping my hips and moving me on his lap.
"Diego." I groan, I feel his bulge under me, and move with him. He distracts me, and we move in rhythm and all I can hear is our panting breathes.
Nowadays I'm too cool for a girlfriend
We are interrupted by my phone ringing, I quickly jump from Diego's lap, halting our actions. I hear him groan out at the loss as I scramble to my phone.
"Hello?" I answer without looking at the caller.
"Hey Melissa, is the little fucker up yet?" I hear Stat's deep voice mumble through the phone.
"Oh hey Stat." I turn and give a Diego a pointed look. "He is getting up right now, I'll get him there on time-I think." I hear Diego groan again, probably unhappy with having to get out of bed, or technically the couch I made him sleep on when we got back from the club last night.
"Alright see you two soon. Just threaten him and he should get up."
"Okie, see you!" I say into the phone, clicking the end call button. I turn to Diego, ready to make him get up so we could go. "Get up Diego, before Stat kills us both."
"Fine, fine. Also change your ringtone." He grumbles, getting up and making his way to my room. I quickly pick up my mug of coffee, and follow him into my room, I was ready to go just needing shoes and a jacket.
"Change my ringtone?" I question, walking towards my closet, deciding on my vans.
"Yeah, why do you have another rapper as your ringtone? It should be one of my songs." I turn to him as he sifts through a drawer I cleared for him in my dresser. He picks out a black hoodie, and a pair of jeans and boxers.
"Because I can? Plus, I love that song, and lil skies." I roll my eyes, he could be sensitive over small things.
"Okay but like it should be one of my songs." He states again.
"Fine, I'll change it, but get in the shower, we've got to go Diego." I roll my eyes, checking the clock. I set my mug down, slipping my shoes on. I walk to Diego's drawer and borrow his brown champion hoodie. I waste time, waiting for Diego by scrolling through my phone.
I hear the shower stop, and a few minutes later Diego is dressed and ready to go.
"Finally." I say, hopping off my bed, picking up my empty mug to put it in the dishwasher before we leave.
"Well I had to take care of a problem that you gave me." He rolled his eyes at me. He grabbed his MCM backpack from the living room before following me out of the house. We were almost out the door, when Diego ran back in.
"My beanie!" I laughed at his pure horror of almost leaving the house without his beanie.

"Finally, let's go Diego!" Stat calls out when we arrive at the radio station.
"We aren't late!" Diego and I both call out, scared of Stats disappointment.
"Whatever, hurry up." He ushers us into the back door.
"So, Lil Xan how has life changed for you since you've become famous?" The interviewer asked Diego. The interview had been going on for about 20 minutes, I sat with JP, Steven, and Stat to the side, out of view. They had been asking basic questions, standard things Diego had answered many times before.
"I finally got money." Diego laughed. "Like I can pay for my own shit, and other people's shit now. Like my momma and dad got no more worries. I take care of them." He shrugged. I smiled, I know how much his parents meant to him, especially after his mom's health scare awhile back.
"Do they live with you?"
"Nah, they did at first, but my mom don't like LA, so I got them a place back in my hometown." He said, looking down. I knew how much his parents moving back to Redlands hurt him, and how much he missed them. I zoned out for most of the interview, talking quietly with JP and Steven in the back.
"So, are you single?" I turn to look at Diego, who is blushing.
"Uh well technically yes, but I got a girl." He fidgets with his beanie, a sign that he was uncomfortable. I smile at his answer, because yes, we're both single but we have each other. Which by the interviewer's face, didn't make since to anyone else?
"Can you elaborate?" She asks, with confusion written on her face.
"Well technically I'm single, but I'm not available. My girl and I are taking things slow, making sure we got our shit together before we get together ya know? We want it to work, so we are making sure we give each other our bests." I smile at his response, feeling my heart flutter at his words.
"That's really mature of you two, and beautiful." The interview replies. They move onto a new topic, and I just watch Diego until it's time for us to go. This boy really makes me happy.
