Real Life
We were sitting at a table, waiting for Diego to show up. I left the seat next to me open, seeing as he would most likely make a fuss if we hadn't. The waitress had just taken our drink orders when I saw a boy with a beanie walking over, a girl trailing after him. As he came closer it was obviously Diego and the girl from his Instagram.
"Hey Melissa," He says leaning down to give me a hug. "Hey everyone else."
He gives them a wave before pushing the girl forward, "Everyone this is Yuleema, Yuleema this is everyone." He offers her a seat, before asking a waitress for another. He placed it next to me, plopping himself down.
"Hi man, nice to meet you." Neels says, flashing Diego a smile. I relax, happy that he was putting out an effort.
"Nice to meet you too. Especially since you've been with Melissa so long, thought I would have met you already." I glare at diego, nudging him with my elbow, and placing my hand on Neels' arm, feeling him tense at Diego's words. Everyone else at the table chose to ignore Diego.
"Yeah, hoping to change that." Neels says, giving me smile.
"Yeah, I'm so excited that you're thinking about moving out here." Alissa says from across the table, head leaning on Ricky's shoulder.
"Wait what." I say choking on my water, I look at Neels. I can see Diego tense beside me,
"Well it was supposed to be surprise, but thanks to Alissa that's ruined." He chuckles, giving her a playful glare. "I miss LA, my friends and most importantly you." I feel a blush creep onto my face.
"This is exciting, but didn't you just sign your lease in NY?" I ask, worried about him make a rash decision.
"Yeah, but I can sublet. So, you know, no big deal." He smiles down at me as Alissa, Ricky, and Rice cheer from the other side of the room. The waitress comes back to our table ready to take our orders. After all of us gave her our long orders, we fell into a comfortable flow of conversation. I was holding onto Neels arm and Diego had made a point to either be short with me or to ignore me. The waitress came with all our orders, setting them all down. I was eating my California roll peacefully when I felt a hand land on my thigh. That wouldn't have bugged me if it had come from Neels side of me, but it was Diego's. I looked over him, with wide eyes, gently pushing his hand off my thigh.
"What are you doing?" I whisper, trying to me discreet.
"Nothing baby, chill." He whispers back, I see Yuleema give me a slight glare. He hands lands back on my thigh, rubbing it slowly. I tense at his actions, knowing I needed to make him stop, but I didn't want to cause a seen with everything going well. I try to focus on my food, and the conversation flowing through the group. As soon as I relaxed a little bit, Diego's hand slid higher. I close my legs, suddenly very conscious that I was wearing a very short dress. He pushes his hand higher, keeping my legs open, I take a deep breathe. Neels turns to me,
"Babe you okay?" He asks, concern in his eyes.
"Yeah babe." I stutter, giving him a smile.
"Alright." He pecks my cheek return to the conversation with Ethan and Jess.
I turn slightly to get a look at Diego, who is smirking. His hand slips under my dress, he keeps his hand firm. I'm irritated that I haven't done something to stop Diego, and irritated that he is doing this right now, with Neels next to me and some girl next to him.
"I'm going to the bathroom." I squeak standing up quickly, when I felt Diego's hand reach my panty line. I rush off to the bathroom, hoping no one would suspect anything. I hear footsteps following me, and I hope that its anyone but Diego. I turn to face whoever followed me, and of course my hope goes unanswered and it's Diego.
"What do you want Diego?" I sigh in frustration. I really didn't need anymore of his shit right now.
"You." He says pushing me against a wall. I swear to god why are there always so many walls blocking me when Diego and I are alone. "I want you baby." He whispers, using one hand to grab my face, and open my neck for him. He places soft kisses to my neck, using his other hand to hold me into place,
"Diego, Diego." I whisper softly, unsure if I was saying his name to make him stop, or to continue. My mind was jumble, Diego made my brain jumble. I hear ruckus coming from the kitchen area of the restaurant, making me push Diego away with all my strength.
"Stop pushing me away, you know I want you, can't you accept that." He groans, sliding down the other wall.
"I have a boyfriend Diego." I sigh. Sitting next to him.
"Yeah, one that doesn't treat you as good as I can." He says pulling me close.
"Diego, please hush. I haven't even had a chance to talk to him one on one. I can't be doing this with you. And what the fucking hell was that in there Diego?"
"Well when are you? If he's with you and moving back I know there is no way I'll see you. He hates me. And if you didn't realize, I want you all the time."
"I was going to tonight, but I feel like he is avoiding it, he keeps inviting people over and we haven't gotten any alone time. He is trying with you, he is trying. Diego, don't start this, not now. I'm truly a mess."
"He knows it's going to a messy talk. So, what? He still hates me. And look at me Melissa," I turn to him, "I know you're a mess, but I love that about you." He says leaning his forehead onto mine. We jump apart, hearing footsteps approaching us.
