The Devil's POV

I have to tell him. He needs to know.
Maybe, just maybe...

...it can save him.

Cuphead's POV

There was a door. A massive door. It had to have been 18ft tall and 12ft wide. We stared in awe as the doors slowly creaked open. A gust of moldy air washed over us.
"Pleasant," I coughed. "Is this the place?"
The Devil nodded,"Has to be. The footprints end here."
No one moved. The dark corridor had no lights. The Devil placed a firm hand on King Dice's shoulder. I held Mug's hand tightly. Mike clenched his fists.

"Let's go."

Third Person's POV

The group stepped inside, the doors closing them in darkness. They walked forward without the slightest clue where they were going. All they new was that they were going to find the Stranger.
"Dev?" King Dice asked in a whispery tone. "Are you still there?"
"I'm here, Dicey," the Devil replied, stern yet comforting. "Is something wrong? Are you afraid of the dark or something?"
"No, not really."
Suddenly, the lights flickered on. It was just the two of them. Alone.
"Wh-what-?" Dice stammered.
The Devil narrowed his eyes,"Where is everyone? Mug!? Mike!? Cup!?"

"Devil!? King Dice!?" Mug called out.
"Mike!? Hey! Where are you guys!?" Cup yelled to the distance. The brothers were by themselves. Alone.

"Mug!? Dev!? Cuphead!? King Dice!?" Mike shouted at the thin air. He was alone.

"I don't like this..." Dice murmured. His eyes were wide, full of fear.
The Devil put an arm around his boyfriend, which startled Dice. Dice gasped and looked at the Devil. Dev gave a concerned look,"Dice? You okay? You're freaking out."
He shook his head,"I'm not fine. I wanna get out of here!"
"Easy, Dice-"
"GET AWAY FEOM ME!" He screamed, falling on his back. He crawled himself into a corner, staring at the Devil frightened.
"Dice, what's the-" the Devil began before he disappeared. He gasped and fell too. "Dice!? Where are you!?" A shadow appeared in front of him. His eyes widened. "Dad?"

"Cup, what do we do?" Mugman asked his brother. Cuphead wasn't listening. He was pacing back and forth, deep in thought.
"How did we get even get separated from the group!? They were literally right here! It doesn't make sense!" Cup bit his lip so hard it began to bleed. He finally lifted his head to find his brother had disappeared.
His jaw dropped,"Mug? Did he leave me!? No, he wouldn't, he's better than that. Then again, he's done it before. Why am I talking to myself!? Am I going insane again! I swear that was a phase, readers!" He stopped, realizing what he said. "FUCK! I broke the fourth wall AGAIN!"

Mike looked around, hoping to see someone. He knew the truth: the Stranger was playing tricks on them. This was the Labyrinth of course; a place full of confusion and fear. Once entering its fretful maze, you begin to see your worst fears....
"Get out here, Stranger! I know you're hiding!" Mike tried to sound brave, but his voice cracked.
A wicked laugh sounded in the distance.

King Dice couldn't believe what he was seeing. Everything was burning. Burning in flames that licked the walls like lollipops, and smoke that curled bitterly in the air. The home was falling apart. His home.
Dice coughed, his eyes teary. He heard screams, shrieking, crying for help. They told him to run, to get help. But his ankle was sprained. All he could do was watch his family burn. Burn.
Suddenly, a figure tried to grab him, Shouting, "No survivors! You will die!"
Dice screamed and cried,"NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!"
Before the persecutor could grab him, Dice ran with all his might. His ankle throbbed with pain, his burns stung like poison on his skin, his lungs were dried out like raisins. Everything was gone.
