CLARY POV

"No! Get off me!" I yell as I push Dylan off me.

"Alright....then you're fiered!" He yells. I look at him incredulously.

"Why? Because I didn't sleep with you?!" I ask.

"Get out..." he says.

"You only got this job because your dad is the owner of this company" I tell him. "You're such a brat!" I yell.

"Takes one to know one...." he says. "Oh wait...your parents disowned you didn't they.......if anything I was doing you a favor......whatever you have with that.....little asshole of yours.....it won't last princess......your own parents didn't want you......neither will he" Dylan says. I grab the steaming hot coffee pot and throw it at him. He shrieks in pain. I slam the coffee pot on the floor, shattering the plastic. I open the door and run out, earning stares from my ex colleagues.

JACE POV

I was at the Washington memorial early. The universe was laughing at me. Throwing every single couple with some red haired girl my way. Not one blonde...nor brunette. All red haired girls making out with some guy. I also saw some red heads who were alone. Like right now, a red haired girl is sobbing Next to a tree. I walk towards her, to see if she's ok. I sit down next to her. " you ok?" I ask. The girl nods. Then shakes her head.

"Nooooooo" she cries and leans into me. I awkwardly pat her shoulder thinking this was a bad idea. "I'm pregnant...an-and when I told my boyfriend he accused me of cheating" she sobs. "I was so ha-happy" She cries. "And then he ruined itttttttt"she whines.
"Maybe he's having a bad day....sure, thats no excuse but.. well....it happens to all of us" I tell her. "I should know" I whisper.
"M-maybe you're right" She sniffs. and as if on que her phone rings. she picks up. "H-hello" She says. She waits a while and laughs. "Yeah you are a stupid idiot" She laughs. "Ok, bye" She hangs up and looks at me. "Thanks....that was him" She says. I grin at her.
"What did i tell you?" She smiles and gets up. She looks at my ring and looks at my eyes.
"Hey uh....whoever she is.....she's a lucky one" She says. I smile and nod.
"Thanks" I say. She then runs off to her car and drives off. I look at her car leaving. I sigh and see red at the corner of my eye. I really don't want to comfort another girl i don't even know, but my neck has a mind of its own and makes me look. My heart jumps as i notice the girls wearing the same clothes Clary is. The girl had her back to me. I stand up and walk to her. I tap her shoulder.
"Clary?" I ask. She looks at me and hugs me.
