CLARY POV
I have been switching, from my baby to Jace. I woke up, usually my head on top of his chest, were his heart is. It's one of the few places he doesn't have broken. All of his ribs have healed. But his legs And arms haven't. The back of his head is still broken. It's weird how he broke almost all of his bones, yet his face wasn't touched. He got a minor cut on his forehead. But that's it. The Semi truck driver went to jail, the epileptic girl died in the crash. And the couple broke up. Everyone was worried. I had gotten close to Sasha Obama. Eventually, everyone had to leave. Imogene's mother hovered over me and made me feel like Crap, I guess she took pity on me and left. Shepard comes in with Addison.
"No change?" I ask. Addison walks closer to me.
"Clary, you shouldn't worry, they will get better, you have to believe and calm down so your other children are born healthily" Addison says. Tears prick my eyes.
"But he's my everything. I love him." I say.
"Clary.....I wanted to wait until later....but maybe, maybe" I look at Shepard. "Maybe you should let him go.....he's in agony right now....and so are you....maybe you should look into-." I interrupt him.
"Derek, we know each other....personally, and you know Jace....personally, he survived a Semi truck......an SUV and two more cars.....he can survive a coma....I need him....." Tears roll down my cheek silently. I need him to wake up. I need him to. "And.....My baby will also survive....he is so much like his dad....and he will survive" I nod. I have hope. They will wake up. Addison and Shepard leave the room. Paparazzis keep trying to get interviews with me. But I deny them. I don't want Jace's accident to be some stupid gossip or conversation starters. I will not entertain sick people who think this is a game. I stand up to go and see my baby, who I still haven't named. Then I hear a grumbling noice, almost a growl. My head snaps towards Jace. His head moving. I run towards him and grab Jace's hand as I look at his face.
"Wake up, please,please wake up" I beg. Then, Jace's eyes open. His golden eyes looked like honey. I have been yearning to see his eyes. I take a deep breath and smile. I felt as if so much weight was pulled off of me. I smiled, at Jace. "Hey" I whisper. He groans a little and closes his eyes.
"Where am I....why does everything hurt....why is my head pounding?" Jace asks, his voice hoarse. I go and get some water. I give it to him and he drinks it.
"Your in the hospital, you had an accident on H street, you were coming to see me when a semi truck an SUV and two cars crashed into you" I explain. "But now you're here......" I smile and kiss him. He doesn't kiss back though, he pulls away. I look at him, he was frowning.
"I'm sorry.......who are you?" He asks genuinely curious. My heart drops.
