We had been arguing. Finally I picked up my bags. "OK THAT'S IT" I yell.
"Wait Clarissa" Dad says. I shake my head.
"No, no" I say. I get up and walk away.

I was in the library. I put my bags in the farthest section in the library. I was wondering around the library. I passed the Psycology section, the Surgery section, now i was in the Gynecologist section. A book caught my attention. 'Symptoms for Pregnancy'.I almost laughed. You need to read about these things? seriously? I pick it up and flip the pages.

'Nausea with or without vomiting. ...Food aversions or cravings. ...Headaches. ...Fatigue'

My Jaw drops. I've had those symptoms for weeks. I bite my lip. I start counting with my fingers. I'm late, five days late. I try to calm down. Breathe in, breathe out. Ok, you're not pregnant, sure you're a little late, but it happens all the time. I breathe again. That doesn't mean i shouldn't read about these things. I grab as many books as i can. I go to my little hidden area and read.

The library is closed, i have read all the books about pregnancy, i need to get a Hollers pregnancy test, they are the most accurate. Of course since i don't have money, i can't do that. I bite my lip. I go through my things. I found a 20 dollar bill. I get on a table and open the librarys window. You would think they have an alarm here. i swing my legs. annnnnd... now i know why they don't have an alarm. It is at least a fifty foot drop. I slowly and carefully grip the wood that is holding up roses and vines. I quickly and carefully climb down. I then run to the pharmacy. Dammit , should've brought a jacket! I grab the pregnancy test and buy it. Thankfully it was 75%off. someone gave me the 20 dollars i needed. That test is expensive. I run back to the library and climb the roses again. I slip into the window and go straight to the bathroom. I pee on the stick and wait. I was pacing around the room.

"Oh!" The woman coo's. "That's a beautiful baby you have!" She says. I look at her surprised.
"I'm not pregnant" I say.

The Test beeps making me look at it. I close my eyes. If you are pregnant, then you are going back and asking that lady how she knew. if you're not you are going to the doctors just to be 100% sure and then if you aren't then you will move on with your life, and if you are then you will go and ask the lady how she knew. I was scared, terrified. Sure, Jace wants a child, but......what if he was lying? Would he cut off the engagement and break up with me? Enough, Just look at the damm test! I open my eyes.
