Chapter Twenty Three

Alia's POV

"Wait." Taapsee grabs my arm as I'm about to open the car door.

"Why?"

She shows me her phone ringing and it's Shraddha.

"Get back in the car." And I do so.

She answers the call. "Hello?"

"Where are you and Alia? Mums gonna be so mad if she find out you left!" Shraddha exclaims.

"Where are you?" Taapsee asks stupidly.

"Where would I be?! I'm at the venue stupid!" Shraddha retorts.

"But we seen you go out with a guy!"

"Are you guys feeling okay? Get back to the venue now!"

"Okay we're coming."

Taapsee's about to end the call until we hear Shraddha gasp. We share a look.

We hear a guys voice and the call ends.

"What the hell! Whose in that car then?!" I ask Taapsee.

Kriti and Sushant walk out the car.

"We're so stupid!" I say and we head back.

We walk in and see Sidharth alone on stage. Where's Jacqueline?

"Mum where's Jacqueline?" I ask.

"In the side room Shraddha's sorting her hair out." Mum says.

We go into the side room.

Jacqueline and Shraddha laugh as they talk.

"Here they are!" Shraddha says pinning Jacqueline's hair.

"Guys I look okay right?" Jacqueline asks.

"You look stunning!" Taapsee and I say.

"Jacqs relax!" Shraddha says.

Suddenly we hear something fall.

"What was that?" I ask.

We all look around.

"Oh that vase just fell." Shraddha says.

"Oh."

"Girls come on!" Mum walks in.

"You guys go I'll just tidy here and come." Shraddha says.

"Tidy what it is tidy?"

"I mean switch the curler off and stuff." She says weirdly.

"Ok." We all leave.

"Oh I forgot my phone I'll just go get it." I say going back to the room.

I open the door slightly and hear Shraddha talking to someone.

"What if someone walks in?" She asks.

"Let them." A guys voice replies and that voice sound very familiar.

I quickly go call Taapsee.

"What is it?" She asks.

"Shraddha's in that room with some guy."

We both open the door a little more and look to try catch a glimpse.
