So, I was watching this video and looking through the comments and I felt the need to put this here.

Powers can develop differently depending on the player.

Two people with the same title could end up with vastly different powers, and two people with different titles could have nearly identical powers. Calliope explains this to Roxy as she explains what a Rogue of Void is.

Light is fortune, but there is also a physical manifestation of Light (as in, light. Illumination, which could also mean knowledge).

Vriska "stole" Terezi's ability to perceive Light when she blinded her, but she didn't make Terezi any less lucky.Rose also demonstrates in Collide that she can summon lasers even without using a wand. It's also implied that she can make things "lighter" by making them near weightless (see when she is holding Kanaya's hand after the battle and they fly to safety. Kanaya isn't dangling limply).

Some aspects manifest literally, not just metaphorically.

Aside from Space and Time players, John has very obvious air bending powers, despite that Breath presumably represents freedom as the opposite of Blood's interconnectivity.

I believe God Tier Calliope explains to Jade that all the aspects overlap and are often only arbitrarily distinct. Light is said to be fortune, and Mind is implied to be choice. But luck is often a result of other people's choices working in your favour; it is not solely, or even mostly due to your own decisions, though decisions are still involved.

The difference between fortune and Doom are often a matter of perspective, between two individuals or two mind sets.

Sollux demonstrates this when he views his blinding, massive internal hemorrhaging, and matesprit dying as good things.

I could envision a Seer of Blood having these powers for multiple reasons.

One, the literal Blood connection.

And two, seeing through the bonds of Time.

It's for this last reason that I could see a Seer of Blood having very similar powers to a Seer of Time. Similarities to a Seer of Space could be present if seeing Blood meant seeing someone's physical location or seeing their connection to their surroundings.

I have the headcanon that any sufficiently insightful player could basically do anything. Roxy, if she gained full control over the powers I speculate she has access to, could become omnipotent easier than anyone else.

She can not only create whatever she wants, but as she showed in Collide, she can control her creations, as in she is functionally telekinetic, which is just the tip of the iceberg.

It's true, class would seem to be the biggest limiter, but further examination calls these limitations into question.

Many of the players have powers that do not seem to have a singular connection to their class. When explored closer, those powers that do seem exclusive to a class, could perhaps be had by anyone of a particular aspect (and the aspect limitations may not be all that limiting).

To start with, how I believe Vriska's luck stealing power works is that she unconsciously manipulates others into acting in her best interest. Not only would this fit in with her Mindfanging ability, it would also explain what luck is.

If one takes the Alpha timeline as the sum of the collective will of all within it, then the Alpha timeline's propagation would be dependent upon Vriska getting what she wants.

Rose, with her ability to perceive luck and her stated role as guiding others towards it, could easily have functionally the same power. Either through carefully selected words, or, accepting the outline I have just written, by developing the ability to outright "steal" fortune.

Terezi and Rose are both Seers, ultimate perceivers of their aspect. However all players have an ability to sense their aspect to some extent, otherwise they would not be able to use their powers at all.

I tend to think that perception is mainly due to practice and preference.Aradia claims that she could not perceive her aspect as well as Rose, yet Rose herself only stopped relying on external facilitators for her vision after she ascended (and it's worth noting that we only see her use this ability once, in order to guide the meteor through the Furthest Ring. And in the Retcon timeline, only uses her powers at the behest of her leader, Vriska).

Aradia however has persistently seen her aspect, Time (thus death), and guided those towards it, without the use of proxies. She was the one who gave Gamzee her music boxes in aid of Lord English's creation/"destruction" after all. Who knows what else she did behind the scenes.

It is also arguable that a Maid of Time, a creator of Time, could create a vision of Time (besides, one cannot create without vision to begin with).

Grimdark!Jade is able to see the Crockertier tiara on a distant planet in order to teleport it onto Jane. Using an Alchemiter, she created goggles that allowed her to see any part of Space she chose. The Witch is the class of the rebel, one who redefines and breaks the rules of their aspect.

Not only would it be in keeping with Jade as an individual to want to understand her aspect, it would also be well within the keeping of her class!

Terezi, in Collide, did a combo move with Dave that allowed them to choose a timeline they found more preferable and shove it into the slot of the Alpha.

As the Knight is an active exploiter of their aspect, it would not be hard to see Latula able to preform the same move with another Time player (say Damara, who manipulates her aspect).

Dirk, despite what his title is literally described as, does not actually demonstrate the power to destroy souls (see Caliborn's Masterpiece).

Instead he steals them, lining his powers up with a Rogue or Thief. And Roxy's powers, despite how incredibly versatile they are, basically boil down to "stealing possibilities".

There are so many ways that just about anyone could do that.I consider the titles to be important, but not because of the dictates they seem to imply about powers; I believe all players of a particular aspect have access to the same pool of powers.

The titles are more indicative of a player's character and the path the Game forces them onto (rebellious players can subvert these by inverting them, like Jade and Rose, who became the Seer of Time and the Witch of Void respectively).

One of Sufferers most notable abilities was that he could see the life of his alternate selves. He saw how much better life was on Beforus, and he wanted to make Alternia like that.

It can be assumed that this trait carries over between bloodlines (meaning that pre scratch and post scratch Karkat could have this ability) and it would make sense that being the Seer of Blood would only heighten this effect in the Sufferer's alternate.

Okay, now that that's done, I have a question.

If Kankri and the others are basically the Ancestors,

Does that mean Signless's name was Kankri?

And same with the others?
