"Emily!" shrieks my little brother, Max.
He runs over to me and gives me a huge hug. I see my parents walking behind him.
"Hey," says my mom.
I run over and give them both a huge hug. We grab my stuff and bring it to the car. After I'm all packed up. I go say goodbye to Bell, Beth, and Emily. Then I look around for Jacob. I can't find him anywhere. My parents are getting impatient. They say I have five minutes then we are leaving. Those five minutes pass and Jacob is nowhere to be found. My parents take me to the car and we begin to drive away.
I sit in the car thinking about it all. Camp was an amazing experience for me. I had so much and I learned that no matter how perfect something is it doesn't last forever. The world isn't a wish granting factory. It may be over, but I'm okay maybe I will see him again someday and if not maybe it wasn't meant to be.
After a long plane ride and car ride, we finally get home. I go straight into my room to unpack. When I open up my bag there is a small note laying inside. It reads.
Emily,
I'm sorry I won't get the chance to say goodbye. My family has to leave. I'm sorry it's over. I will never forget you. I love you.
Jacob
I put the letter in a special spot. I won't forget Jacob but I can't live my life missing him. I have to return to my normal routine. I start junior year in a week. I fall asleep that night thinking of him. It really is over.
