Stuck in the middle.

Chapter 3

I turn around and standing behind me is Jacob. "Oh my god it is you!" he yells. He runs over and gives me a huge hug.

"I know it's crazy, but I haven't stopped thinking about you," he says.

"It's like you read my mind," I say, a huge smile on my face.

"Um hello? Who is this?" asks Julia.

I didn't realize how close Jacob and I were standing until now.

"Oh uh," I start, but thankfully Jacob starts talking.

"I'm Jacob. Emily and I met yesterday," he says.

"Well you seem awfully close for just meeting yesterday," says Julia.

"Uh. I guess so ya," he says.

"Well, I better be going. I see you guys around," he says.

Then in front of everyone he kisses my cheek again. Then he walks away.

"That was adorable!" says Beth.

"Look at her face!" says Bell.

Then they both giggle. She is right my face is bright red.

We all sit down and listen as the camp manager talks about the rules. I try to listen to what he is saying I really do, but I can't stop thinking about Jacob. Oh my god I can't believe he is here! And he keeps kissing me on the cheek. I wonder if he does that to every girl he meets. But then again he didn't kiss Julia, Beth, or Bell and he did say he hasn't stopped thinking about me. God I think I really like him, but how can I like someone that quickly. I don't have any experience with this. I have never had a boyfriend, never had my first kiss, and the first time I was even kissed on the cheek was by Jacob. Yesterday.

"Hello, Emily, you there?" I snap back to reality to see Julia waving her hand in front of my face.

"Oh uh ya. Sorry," I say.

"It's time for lunch," says Julia.

I get up and follow the girls to the cafeteria.
