The next day at breakfast they tell us how pickup will go tomorrow night. Our parents will get here around 7:30 pm. I can't believe it's almost over. I try not to think about it for the rest of the day. Beth, Bell, Julia, Jacob, and I spend the day on the field playing games like soccer, capture the flag, and ballon toss. We have a blast. For lunch we have a barbecue. This is the perfect day. To soon it comes to an end. Jacob and I stay at the field when everyone leaves. We stay tell after dark just talking.

We avoid the subject of leaving until Jacob says," You realize that this is our last night here. I don't want to leave."

"I know I don't want to leave either, but we don't have a choice," I say.

Then he kisses me. I instantly kiss him back. When we pull away he whispers,"I love you Emily."

"I love you too," I tell him.

He kisses me one more time then we head back to the cabins. It is 11pm when I get there.

I can't sleep that night. I think about how much I will miss Jacob. This has been the perfect two weeks and I never wanted it to come to a close. But it did. How can I finally find I guy who I like and who likes me back and have to leave him. That's just how life works. You don't always get what you want. After a while I finally fall to sleep, dreading the next day. I never want to go home.
