"Who are you?" I ask the man standing in my living room.
"I'm here to take you to the hospital," says the man.
"Why? Where is my family? Who are you?" I ask almost screaming. I have so many questions penetrating my mind.
"I'm Jeff a friend if your parents. Your brother, Max had a serious asthma attack and they had to take him to the hospital. I am supposed to bring you to the hospital. Grab your overnight stuff and we will go," he says.
I do what he says and quickly pack an overnight bag. My brother had always had asthma, but it had never been so bad he had to go to the hospital.
The car ride is silent. I am so worried about Max. I hope he is okay. When we finally arrive at the hospital I jump out of Jeff's car and follow him in. He leads me down a hallway. Then I see my mom. I run over and burry myself in her arms.
"Is he okay?" I ask.
"We don't know yet," she says tears streaming down her face.
We spend the night in a special room they have at the hospital. The next day I don't go to school. I pull out my phone to text Mason, but I realize I don't have his phone number. I have never needed it before. I put my phone away right as a nurse comes into the room.
