I eventually forgave Jacob. We are now friends. He met a girl named Lilly and they are dating. Lilly and I became best friends almost immediately. The school year is coming to a close. Tonight is Junior Prom.

Lilly and I are up in my room getting ready. She has on a light pink dress. Her beautiful blonde hair is in curls. I have on a light blue strapless dress. My hair is also in curls.

I hear my dad yell from downstairs, "Emily, the boys are here."

"Coming," I yell.

Lilly and I grab what we need and walk out of my room. The boys stand at the bottom of the stairs. Both boys have on tuxes. Mason smiles up at me. I walk down the stairs and trip on the last step. Mason catches me and stands me upright next to him.

"This is why I don't wear heals," I say.

"You look beautiful," says Mason.

"You look handsome," I say.

He gives me a quick kiss and we head to the car.

Our Prom theme is Paris. The decorations are so pretty. It's so romantic.

We spend most of the night on the dance floor. I'm having so much fun. When it gets really crowded Mason yells over the noise, "Do you want to go for a walk?"

I nod my head.

Mason grabs my hand and leads me out the door. From outside we can still here the music. A slow song comes on.

"Would you like to dance?" Mason asks holding out his hand.

"I would love to," I say grabbing his hand.

He pulls me in. I wrap my arms around his neck and he slides mine around his waste. We sway back and forth to the music. When the song ends we decide to head back inside and enjoy the night.

The rest of the night is a blast. When the night comes to a close we all head home. Mason is driving. He drops off Jacob then Lilly.

When he is on his way to take me home I ask, "Can we go to the pond first?"

"Sure," he says.

When we get to the pond it's to dark to see much. Mason grabs ahold of my hand and guides me in the right direction.

"Can I have one more dance?" he asks.

"We have no music," I say.

"That's okay," he says pulling me close.

Soon enough dancing turns into kissing. I feel a drop of water on my face and look up. Suddenly it's pouring.

"It's pouring!" I yell.

"I don't care," Mason says.

Then he pulls me back in and kisses me in the rain. We don't stop kissing until the rain stops. He sits on the wet grass. I sit down on his lap.

"I love you," I say.

"I love you too," he replies.

And for once in my life I have no doubts. I just enjoy this perfect moment with Mason and pray it will never end.
