Jon walked up to Brynn where he saw her sitting in catering
"We need to talk," he said, sitting opposite her
She smiled
"Okay," she said, taking her feet off the table and opting for leaning on her elbows
"I know Renee told you about us," he began
Brynn huffed
"I don't wanna talk about that since you know, my best friend didn't tell me and I had to find out from his girlfriend. " Brynn complained
"Brynn, I'm sorry okay? But it's just we wanted to keep it on a down low," Jon said
"And who would I tell Jon?" She asked, with an eye roll
"Just forget it yeah? I know now but promise me no more secrets," she said
"Okay Brynn, I promise and I'm sorry that I hid it from you," Jon said, Brynn smiled and leaned over the table to hug him
"You need to make it up to me," she said with a smirk
"What'dya want?" Jon asked with a smile
"Cookies and cream cheesecake," she said, rocking back in the chair
"That's on the other side of the arena," Jon said, giving her a look

"You're lucky I love you," Jon said, getting up to get her cheesecake
"Love you too Jonny," she called as he left
Jon smiled as he walked down the hallway towards the other side of the arena. Brynn was ultimately his best friend and he cared about her so much. Cookies and cream cheesecake, was their favourite dessert since they were in CZW together. It was also the cheapest dessert they could afford since they weren't that well off when they were in CZW
Jon would eagerly get her a slice of cheesecake because he loved her that much
"Hello babe," Joe said coming over to kiss her
"Hi." She replied, kissing him
"So I need to tell you that mom and dad are coming over tomorrow," Joe said, fiddling with his thumbs
"And what's the problem?" She asked him smiling, she loved his parents
"I have to do media tomorrow, will you be okay to be alone with them for an hour or two?" Joe asked, holding her hand over the table
"Of course, I love Sika and Tricia, we'll be fine love, don't worry," she dismissed
"Thanks beautiful," he told her with a smile
"You're welcome beautiful," she replied with a grin as he groaned
"And JOJO will be coming with them," he mentioned
"Okay," Brynn said with a smile
"Why were you so hesitant on telling me, I love your family," she spoke
"I know, I know, but they can be a little suffocating at times and I don't want you to think they're bombarding us," he said, playing with her fingers
"I would never, it just proves they care, my mom hasn't spoken to me in 5 years," she said
"It's better if they suffocate you than if they didn't give a fuck about you," she said with a sad smile
Joe rubbed her hand and sighed
"Speaking of giving a fuck, here's the parent that I have that does give one, if Jon comes back with my cheesecake, tell him I'll be back, excuse love," she said, answering the phone
"Hey dad," she greeted as she walked away
Joe smiled at the table and thought about everything that was right with his life and Brynn was at the epitome of it all
"Hey where'd Brynn go?" Jon asked, setting two slices of cheesecake down
"Talking to her dad," Joe replied as him and Jon made small talk, until Brynn came back, thanked Jon for the cheesecake with a hug and sat on Joe's lap, feeding him some bites of cheesecake while Jon cooed at how cute they were being.
