This was when they were still in the independent circuit. They had a tag team match and after that, someone had taken this picture of them. She smiled and then it faded

"What up?" She asked, getting up from the chair
"It's Jon," he told her and her stomach dropped
"Jon? What happened? Is he okay?" She asked already worried
"He um, we're at the bar down the street from the hotel, I'm worried he'll give himself alcohol poisoning, he's really drunk and he keeps going." Colby said and Brynn pinched her forehead
"He's been talking bout you for the longest while." Colby said and Brynn's eyes widened
"I'll be down in 10 minutes." She quickly said and grabbed her keys going down to the bar
She raked a hand through her hair as the cold breeze whipped it around and she walked into the bar, immediately seeing Jon by the bar counter
As she walked closer, she felt her heartbeat get quicker as she took him in

She put a hand over her mouth and took a breath
"Jon." She said and watched as he tensed up
She took his hand and gasped as he turned with tears in his eyes
"Has he paid the tab?" She asked the bartender who checked and then nodded
"C'mon, let's go home." She said and took up his hand waving to the bartender as she took Jon to the car
She drove in silence as they got back to the hotel and she got him to the pullout couch and left as soon as he began snoring
She walked out and poured a glass of Jack Daniels and sat down, throwing it back, then filling another
Her mind was on alert. She knew she'd have to talk this out with him tomorrow and she didn't know if she was ready for that as she drained another glass. But she knew, in heart, the guy sleeping on her couch right now was and always will be, her best friend.
