Brynn and Jon were at the diner a little away from the hotel waiting for Joe to finish media so he could meet them for a little snack then they could all head to the arena
"I don't know about this Jon," Brynn said nervously
"Calm down B," Jon said with a roll of his eyes looking at his best friend
"It was a long time ago," he continued
"I know but he's gonna get mad that we kept this from him," Brynn said, still shaking from her nerves
"That was way before he even met you Brynn, even if he does get mad, he won't stay mad at you forever." Jon said smiling at her
"Hey guys," Joe greeted patting Jon's shoulder and kissing Brynn's head before sitting next to Brynn
"What's up?" He asked, smile dropping when he saw the looks on their faces
"I have something to tell you," Brynn said and Jon squeezed her hand gently
"We didn't tell you this, but-" Brynn and Jon shared a look and Jon nodded his head
"Jon and I used to date." Brynn admitted and watched as Joe's face dropped
It was a few minutes of silence before Brynn's nerves started killing her
"Love, please say something." She begged, a burning feeling behind her eyes
"Joe." Jon said when Joe stood up
Joe looked at the both of them and without a word, walked out of the cafe and that was the exact moment, when the bell hit the door that Brynn began crying
Jon quickly bundled her up in his arms and held her tight against his chest and angrily looked at the path where Joe just stomped off
"It's gonna be alright B, please don't cry." He said kissing her head
"He hates me." She cried
"No he doesn't." Jon replied with a shake of his head and Brynn sniffled against Jon's neck, thanking god for someone like Jon.
Joe had taken off for the arena immediately after he left the cafe. He know he reacted like a jerk but he couldn't help himself. He always had his doubts if Brynn had wished she was with Jon instead of himself and this situation kinda kickstarted the insecurities he had again
He took out his phone and quickly tapped on google

Joe felt the burning in his eyes and didn't realize when the tears started falling from his eyes and he threw the phone across the room and rolled his eyes when it fell on his gym bag. He slid down the wall and put his elbows on his knees before he put his head on his forearms and took shaky breaths
He barely heard Colby come into the room and come to the side asking what happened and he simply pointed at that wretched phone and he heard Colby's footsteps and a gasp before a hand was laid on his shoulder
"It was a long time bud." Colby said in a calm voice
Joe didn't say anything, didn't even move. Colby sighed and said he was going to get Joe a bottle of water and left
Brynn ran into the building looking disheveled and Jon was running after her when she saw Colby
"Co, where's Joseph?" She asked frantic
"Locker room, he's pretty messed up," he replied not missing the way Brynn flinched
She took off again, stopping when she realized Jon wasn't behind her
"You got this!" He called and Colby gave her a thumbs up, she nodded to them and ran to the locker room and her heart broke as she saw Joe hunched in on himself
"Baby," she said gently
Joe flinched at her voice and looked up as she stooped down infront him
"Babe, what Jon and I had was so long ago." She said
"He's so much better than me. He's got a six pack, the blue eyes, he's funny, he's awesome and you two make such a good couple," Joe said and Brynn's heart fell when she realized he was insecure
"Babe. Your body is absolute perfection, your eyes whether they're grey or brown make me melt, you're extremely funny and smart, and talented. I love you Leati Joseph Anoa'i and if I wanted to be with Jon, I wouldn't be here with you right now." She said honestly and he sniffled
"I love you to," he replied and she took him in her arms
"Please don't cry, I only want you." She assured and she kissed him
He nodded and kissed her back and for this moment, he was okay.
