"JOJO, please pick up the DVD cases from the floor please," Brynn said, rushing around while Joe sat on the stairs, trying to tie his running shoes
"No." JOJO said, continuing to look at the TV
"JOJO, sweetie, please pick up the DVD cases for me," she tried again
"No." JOJO repeated
"JOJO, listen to Brynn please," Joe ordered and JOJO looked at him
"Why daddy? She's not my mom." JOJO said and everything froze
"Joelle, apologize." Joe said, standing up to his full height but JOJO simply turned up her nose at him
"No." JOJO said
"That's it. Joelle upstairs now!" Joe yelled and JOJO pouted before she stomped upstairs
"Babe-" Joe began but Brynn cut him off with a wide fake smile
"It's alright," she dismissed, getting her cap and fitting it on her head
"I'm going to breakfast with a friend," she said and took up her purse
"With who?" Joe asked, folding his arms
"Fergal," she replied and he sighed
"Just- be safe okay? I love you," he said, realizing he really couldn't say anything. She looked at him for awhile and then sighed
"I love you to," she replied and went over to put a hand on his hip and briefly kiss him
"I'll be back around 10," she said, watching the wall clock and seeing that it was 8am
Joe nodded and kissed her again, she knew by the look in his eyes that he was disappointed in JOJO but also worried about Brynn going to meet Fergal
She winked at him and left, opting to walk since it was only a ten minutes away from where they lived
"Hey Fergal," she greeted, seeing him sitting outside the cafe drinking a chai green tea, she smiled, damn, he didn't change with his drink choice
"Brynn, hi." He said with a smile as he got up to hug her, she returned it with a grin, no harm in a friendly hug after all
It was around 9 and Brynn was having a great time. She and Fergal were just talking about old memories and how much fun they used to have together
"I really am sorry for cheating on you," Fergal said, looking at her and she bit her lip
"I never did ask for an explanation," she said and he nodded
"I thought you were cheating on me," he revealed and she wished she hadn't taken a drink of her coffee as she sputtered out a 'what?!' but Fergal just nodded, unphased
"It's true. I mean you got into the main roster. I was still in NXT, we hardly saw each other and when you did make it down to Florida, you'd always come with Joe. Everyone knew how he felt about you, even if neither of you did." Fergal said, with a shrug
"Even if he did like me Fergal, I wouldn't have cheated on you. Even after what you put me through I can't hurt you on purpose," she revealed
"That's not how you are, and I know that. I took advantage of that Brynn and I'm sorry." He said and she smiled, finally, after so long, there was an apology. It had always been bottomless half-assed excuses but now, he was actually apologizing
"You know what? It was for the best. You and I are both as happy as can be now and it's all good. I'm so in love with Joe and you love Cathy, so everything worked out," Brynn assured he nodded
"Friends?" He asked and she laughed
"Hell yeah dude," she agreed and now he laughed
He called over a waiter and handed him his phone and asked him to take a picture of him and Brynn and the waiter said yes.
Brynn scooched a little closer to Fergal and wrapped an arm around him, holding up a piece of muffin as she heard the camera sound effect. Fergal smiled and the picture and posted it

When she bade Fergal a goodbye and walked back to the house, she saw Joe with his arms folded, tapping his foot and JOJO standing in front of him with a sad expression and she immediately ran to Brynn when she walked in
"Brynny, I'm so sorry for what I said." She began, tears in her eyes
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," she continued but Brynn shook her head and pulled JOJO into a hug and soothed her, making Joe smile
She handed her a bag of muffins and she cheered and ran into the kitchen
"How was breakfast?" Joe asked as Brynn stood up straight
"Was good, we hashed everything out, decided to be friends and forget the past, we talked about you and Cathy, felt good," she revealed and Joe smiled
"I'm glad," he said and pressed a kiss to her forehead
"I love you," she said as he leaned down to press a kiss to her lips
"I love you to," he replied when he pulled back
They walked into the kitchen to see JOJO had set up the muffins into a line and was intently staring at them and Joe and Brynn shared a laugh
