Joe looked through the tenth store for what had to be the millionth time. He had no luck whatsoever. He knew what he was looking for. He was looking for something he hoped would be very special to Brynn and Colby was no fucking help
"Joe c'mon, I'm hungry," he whined for what also had to be the ten millionth time
"You ate this morning," Joe replied, looking at the light illuminating the place he was looking
"That was 7, it's 2 now, we gotta get ready for RAW," Colby replied
"Then we'll eat at the arena," Joe said with a chuckle as Colby groaned and fell back
Joe's eyes lit up when he saw what he was so desperately looking for, for the past month and something days
"Colby come here, I found it!" Joe said happily as he pointed to something in the far corner. Colby's eyes followed it and he gasped, it really was beautiful
"She's gonna love it Joe," Colby said, and Joe smiled widely. Hopefully she would
"And another thing. If The Authority thinks that they can control me. They could never be more wrong. I love Roman more than anything and nothing could ever change my mind. Not even those manipulative, corporate nimrods," Brynn said, face hard and set like stone
"I'm gonna stand by Ro's side and raise the bat and swing with all my might cuz I know he'd do the same for me," she continued

"Brynn!" She heard and she looked around and her name was called again before her attention was drawn to the tron where Triple H was smirking
"You say Roman would do the same for you? He'd stand by your side through everything? If all that's true, then why are you part of The Authority? Huh? Why did he choose a championship over you?" Hunter asked and Brynn looked mad

"Watch your back," he told her and the screen went black
Later on, Joe and Jon were sitting in Brynn and Joe's kitchen drinking a beer
"So I need to show you something," Joe told her and Jon furrowed in eyebrows in acknowledgement
Joe reached into the back pocket of his jeans and took a breath, opening the velvet box and showing Jon the sterling silver, diamond engagement ring
Jon gasped and he covered his mouth in shock
"You're gonna propose to Brynn?" Jon asked, taking the ring and expecting it in amazement
"In time I am," he admitted, because no, he wasn't about to tell Brynn's best friend when exactly he was gonna propose to her
"I love her man," Joe admitted and Jon nodded
"Joe, you need to promise me that if you're gonna propose to my best friend, you have to love and cherish her for the rest of her life. I don't wanna hear any complaints about you from her, else I'll kill you," Jon threatened
"Jon, I promise," Joe said, taking back the ring and putting it into the box and smiling absentmindedly at it
"She's the one," Joe continued
"I wanna give her all the love in the world. Hell, I wanna give her the whole entire world," Joe finished and Jon nodded
"So what do you want exactly? My blessing?" Jon asked
"Would be nice if you would give me your blessing to ask your best friend to marry me," Joe replied
"Joe, you had ny blessing to marry Brynn a long time ago," Jon revealed and Joe smiled
"Now it's just to ask Patrick," Joe said in a sigh
"We go to England next week, you'll ask then?" Jon asked and Joe nodded and continued drinking their beers
Brynn was cuddled into Joe as they watched Central Intelligence on the TV
"Baby," Joe called and Brynn looked up from where she was on his stomach
"Are you still okay with getting married?" He asked and Brynn nodded
"Yes I am Joe, I love you," she reassured and Joe told himself that he wasn't making a mistake.
He loved this woman. He wanted to love her for the rest of his natural life and when he did actually ask her to marry him, he'd prove it to her. Even if he had to prove it to her for the rest of his life, about how much he loved her, he gladly would.
"I love you to," he said, rubbing her shoulder and pressing a kiss to the top of her head
He bit his lip when he came up with the perfect time to ask her to marry him. He would make that day as perfect as he could, because after all, she deserved the best from life.
