We Broke Up

Brynn lifted the 250 pound bar over her head as she lay flat on her back at the bench press machine

She was at the gym, alone. Normally, she would be here with Joe, but he was making good on his side of this break up. Brynn was freaking miserable, things she would normally do with Joe, she now had to do by herself.

After 3 years of falling asleep next to someone, she had problems falling asleep by herself and it sucked. She was so accustomed with having someone else in the apartment with her and now she was alone, she was so accustomed to having Joe in the car with her, now she stole Colby from Antonio so she wouldn't be alone

No body actually realized how much Brynn needed Joe. She actually didn't know who she was without him, she lost part of her identity when they broke up. She tried to convince herself it was for the best but sometimes she found herself doubting that. Was it for the best if neither of them were happy?

She put the bar back up and took some deep breaths and then she heard her phone ringing with the special tone she set for her dad

She panted deeply as she went over and slid the sign before holding it up to her ear

"Hey dad," she greeted

"Hey kid. I just got off the phone with Joseph. He said you guys aren't really talking." Her dad said and she bit her lip and scratched her head

"Uhh, yeah we broke up," she said, rubbing the side of her neck

"Why?" He asked slowly and she sighed

"He's still married to Galina, the guy who signed the divorce to like confirm it? He was a scammer." She explained and her dad gasped

"What a wanker," she heard making her laugh.

"Calm down daddio," she said, drinking some water

"So what're you gonna do about the breakup?" He asked and she cleared her throat and sat down on the bench

"Obviously I'm heartbroken over it. Joe's the love of my life, always has been, always will be. Like, this isn't a forever thing, more like until he figures this out, then we need space. He gave me this promise ring, and he promised that when he gets through this divorce thing, we'll get married." Brynn revealed

"But yeah, I'm crushed and I know he is to," she said and her dad confirmed it

"But I kinda need to talk to him, cuz he's got this big match on Sunday for the title and I don't need his focus on nothing else but that." She said, pulling her foot up

"I miss my baby," her dad said and she chuckled

"I miss you to dad, I'll try to come up on Wednesday and head out on Sunday since Smackdown is in England. I'll see you then, thanks for calling dad, love you," she told him

"Love you to my girl," he replied and after a final parting greeting, they hung up

Brynn raked a hand through her hair, contemplating, before she began typing

She took a breath and decided to finish her workout, shower and then head to Joe's room. This talk was one she had no idea how it would go
