Chapter 23-Noah's confession

"What did you say?" Zoe asked already pushing her husband out the way. Did she really think that would make me shut up? Am I supposed to feel threatened? At this point I was at my breaking point. The old me would have shut my mouth because Shawn did open his house for my son and I...but I can't have her manipulate him. I mean it was a 50/50 shot that he was the actual father. I was pretty sure Ethan had unprotected sex with her. He never liked to wrap up. He always said it didn't feel the same. I would not be surprised if she was going to use this baby to help her failing marriage. I just hope Shawn sticks to his word. He promised to dump her. He promised. Shawn lightly pushed me back and begged his wife to calm down. But Zoe wouldn't let it go. She kept questioning what type of man Shawn was. "You don't need to go there Zoe...

Her face started turning color as she slowly started grinding her teeth in pure rage. I just shrugged and acted all innocent. "Listen I'm sorry okay, I guess I'm just jealous"

That's when she lowered her shoulders and crossed her arms waiting for me to continue. "You know it's no secret I had a miscarriage by my husband Ethan..you see, I caught him sleeping with the maid..and-

"Alright you don't have to tell her all that Hazel. It's no ones business" Shawn said slapping a hand over my mouth to stop me from talking. He had no clue I was trying to get under Zoe's skin. Her face fell in shock and it made me happy. Yeah bitch, now you know how it feels to be betrayed by the one you love. Your so called lover has not only been cheating on me, but you too. She tried to hide her hurt but we all could all see it. "Well maybe if you were a good mother then maybe you would still had that baby. But no, you just chased after him like a dog chasing a cat. It's pathetic and I really don't want to hear your sob story. You're no victim" she spit out so harshly I think even Shawn felt the pain. I had to pause for a second. Did she really blame me for my miscarriage? I was so in shock. I couldn't even respond. She had her lips curled in a smile staring at me like I'm below her. Shawn though acted on it as if she was talking to him. "Out of line Zoe! Out of line! Who the hell do you think you are to insult her like that?"

"Excuse me? She started it!"

"No! No she didn't! She was just telling you why she was feeling jealous and you had to bring up her husband..

"Okay and? It's true. Like I said before, she had many opportunities to leave..but she still stayed. Putting Noah and her unborn child in danger. You should have took her to CPS instead of here Shawn"

I grabbed a picture frame from the wall and threw it at her. Her reflexes were quick as she shielded her face. The frame hit her arm instead. "you bitch!" I said racing towards her but Shawn put me in a bear hug. I couldn't even move my head because of how tight he held me. "I swear to god if you hurt my baby, then you're done for!" Zoe yelled out

"Get to your bedroom Zoe! Now!" Shawn yelled out.

"Excuse me? You're really choosing her side? Over mine?"

"Zoe, you're wrong..so wrong! That was low even for you! Hazel has not done anything to you and for you to make her feel worthless is just the deal breaker, the girl just came from the hospital for Christ sakes Zoe! What the hell is wrong with your head? Why are you acting like a bitch?!"
