Patrice's POV
"Good morning."
Napalingon ako. Ricci was leaning on the kitchen island behind me. I smiled at him.
"Good morning, Ricci. Breakfast is almost done."
"Okay, ako na ang maglalagay ng plates natin."
He started to open the cupboards.
"Diyan sa second drawer after the ref."
"Oh okay."
He got the plates out and went to the dining table. Pinatay ko na yung stove and got the sinangag out of the pan. Dinala ko to sa dining table pati na rin yung scrambled eggs.
"Ricci paki-kuha mo naman yung bacon at ham dun. I'll just get the juice."
Sabay kaming pumunta sa kusina. When everything was on the table, pinuntahan ni Ricci si Ryle sa living room tapos ako pinalamig na yung food ni baby. I usually make crab and corn soup for him tapos nilalagyan ko ng rice. Hindi pa kasi talaga siya pwede agarin kumain ng solid food. Inupo ni Ricci si Ryle sa baby seat and we started to eat peacefully.
Nung matapos kaming kumain, naghugas na ko ng pinggan habang nagbobonding yung mag-ama sa living room. I can hear their laughs kaya pati ako tuloy natatawa. Ano kayang pinagtatawanan nila dun?
When I was done with the dishes, dumiretso ako sa living room and found them watching Tom and Jerry. Kaya naman pala ang lakas ng tawa. Umupo ako sa tabi nilang dalawa.
"Hey, can we go out today? Gusto ko sana mamasyal kasama kayo ni Ryle."
"Yeah. Where do you want to go?"
"Gusto ko sana dito oh."
He showed me a picture of the Marina Bay Sands Complex.
"Ohhh. Sa Marina Bay Complex. Yeah, we could go there. Pwede tayong umakyat dun sa ArtScience Museum and dun sa Skypark nila."
"Wait, will it be a long drive from here? Kasi kung malayo, I heard they have a hotel there. Gusto mo mag-check in na lang tayo?"
"No. Mga 20 minutes lang from here kung hindi traffic. It's kinda expensive there kasi Luxury Hotel pero we can do that. Basta ba ako ang magbabayad for the Hotel."
"No way. I'm paying for it."
"Ricci you shouldn't. Ikaw ang bisita. Oh sige ganto na lang, you'll pay for the hotel, I'll pay for the tickets sa Universal Studios. Gusto din sana kitang dalhin dun eh."
He looked at me and smiled.
"And for the food!! I'll pay for the hotel and the food. Ay one more thing pa pala! You know...umm... wait I'll check the name of the place."
He started to type in his phone.
"Oh yeah, ummm alam mo yung Orchard Road? I'm planning to buy pasalubong. Tsaka baka meron nung Gucci rubber shoes na hinahanap ko dito. Wala kasi sa Greenbelt eh."
"Oo we can go there tomorrow after ng check-out. Agahan na lang natin."
"Okay sige."
"If you're planning to go to Marina, we need to go at 12 siguro? 2 pm kasi ang check-in. Pero wait, I'll call muna kung may available room."
"Papaliguan ko na si Ryle so we could go as soon as possible. Tara baby, ligo na muna tayo."
Binuhat ni Ricci si Ryle papasok ng kwarto. I was busy searching for the number nung sumilip si Ricci.
"Mommy, baka gusto mo na rin sumabay samin ni Ryle."
He laughed and winked at me.
"Che! Manyak ka talaga Ricci Paolo! Maligo na nga kayo ng anak mo dun!"
