Sarah was discharged after she spent overnight at the hospital. Honestly, Arnold, Mary-Belle or her friends couldn't stay with her but Jasmine decided to extend her shift to look after her. Of course she had to attend other patients but Sarah didn't mind. She was just glad to see her friend.
In the afternoon, Jasmine told her that she could go back home.
Sarah was delighted but then she sighed.
"What's the matter, Sarah?"
"Am I going to lose you again, Jasmine?" asked the girl.
"No, why would you think that?"
"It's just that you may have to life far away from the Boarding House and —"
"The Boarding House in Vine Street? I just bought an apartment there.
"Arnold told me you were living there as well. So we can see each other everyday. Just like our days in London".
Sarah embraced her friend and whispered, "I'm so glad I found you".

Everyone cheered as they saw Jasmine and Sarah jumped out of the taxi. Sarah smiled as she saw all the residents, Phil, Gertie, Miles, Stella and Arnold. However, she was still weak from her encounter; so Jasmine advised her to rest.
Sarah received a lot of visits from Arnold who couldn't contain his excitement. All he wanted to do was to help her; bring up her meals, change her bandage and finish her homework.
Sarah also received a Get Well Soon card from all her friends and a special present from Jasmine.
"Daddy's pocket watch?" she asked.
Within Sarah's palm, the beautiful, engraved silver watch gleamed in the fading sunlight that shone through her window. She couldn't believe that Jasmine had kept it for her.
"Your father wanted to me to give it to you", she said. "He didn't have much expect it and you.
"I was also going to say that he left you all of his inheritance money but since you said that Cassandra bet all of it, I guess it's not going to happen".
"Money doesn't matter to me", Sarah replied. "If it had come back, I want to give it all to charity. The charity I would love to give it too is Helpers for Humanity".
"Are you sure, Sarah? There are other charities that you can give the money too".
"No and I'm not changing my mind, Jasmine".
There was no point in arguing. When Sarah made her mind, that was it.

On Christmas Eve night, Sarah couldn't sleep. It was her second Christmas without her father and it was her first one without Jasmine as she was working all day at the hospital. She was dreading the holiday already.
When she used to celebrate Christmas, Sarah usually spent it in hospital with her Jasmine and her father. They didn't exchange presents for each other; instead, they sent presents to all the patients in the Children's Ward. The children were delighted when they saw Sarah and Jasmine delivering their presents with a beautifully crafted rug sack that was covered in glitter and paper snowflakes.
