Arnold unlocked the key to Sarah's flat, hoping to find a few things that his friend would like to have with her in the Boarding House. As he opened it, Arnold noticed that he felt a shiver down his spine. Were his instincts trying to tell him something?
The creaky door then showed the kitchen and living room. It was a little dirty, with plates of leftover pizza and cans of coke. The television had also been left on, so Arnold decided to turn it off. As he did so, he then noticed a room with a door that was half open. He decided to investigate.
When Arnold saw the room, he gasped, as he reacted to the room; it was all dark. There was no light, no windows, no desk, no chairs, no TV, no computer and no bookshelf. All he saw was a small lamp, a sleeping bag, a picture frame and a doll. Speechless, he decided to investigate. "Who does this room belong too?" he asked.
He slowly walked toward the sleeping bag before crouching down. Arnold's eyes then examined the bag. He was looking for some clues, but it didn't take him long to figure it out.
"What's this?" He picked up the picture that was next to the bag. It was a picture of a man and a little girl. They looked alike. Friendly blue eyes and bright smiles. But the man had brunette hair, instead of his daughter (who had ginger hair). "It is Sarah!"
Arnold looked in horror, as he released it was Sarah's room. "Why would her family keep her like this?"
"Arnold?" Phil was calling out for his grandson.
Arnold didn't reply.
"Arnold? Is everything --?"
Phil noticed Arnold holding the picture frame and looking at him; Arnold was still in shock.
Miles and Stella then followed behind him. Stella reacted to the room straight away. Miles just observed it.
"Who's room is this?" Miles asked.
"It's Sarah's, Dad", Arnold replied, as he gave Miles the frame.
"Why would her family let her live like this?" Phil asked.
"I don't know, Grandpa", Arnold replied.
"Well, she cannot stay here", Miles said. "Gather her things, everybody. She's staying with us".
