I looked at the now dead man, stunned. Did he really just say that? I looked at Ben and he looked back at me. He looked just as stunned as I felt.

We stood, frozen in place. We kept looking at each other. I studied his face and I noticed there was a bruise forming on his jaw. Most likely where that man had punched him. I also noticed the skin above his eyebrow was open, blood gushing out and falling onto his face. I felt a pang of worry and concern and he seemed to notice. He smiled and shook his head, though a little sadly. "I can't feel pain, Iz. I'm fine. Don't worry about me." He stepped closer to me and studied me. "Are you okay?"

I didn't know if I was okay, I mostly just felt exhausted. The adrenaline was long gone and now all I felt was an exhaustion so bad, I could feel it in my bones. It was hard to stand, but I didn't want Ben to worry about me, so I stood upright. I looked into his eyes. There was no point in hiding my sadness. I nodded. "Physically yeah." I answered.

Ben kept looking at me but neither of us broke eye contact. Then he brought me into his arms. I was stiff at first, but then I wrapped my arms around his waist as he hugged me tightly. I felt him press his lips on the top of my head. "Everything is going to be okay, Iz." He said softly. Ben and I were about the same height. Though he was a good three to four inches taller than me.

I looked at him and I nodded. I gave him a weak smile. "There's blood all over your face." I said. I pulled away and I motioned for him to follow me. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up and fixed." He nodded and he followed me. I didn't know exactly where I was going but I knew for sure there would be a bathroom somewhere. When I found the bathroom I looked under the sink and I smiled when I found the first aid kit.

I got out gauze, and a big bandaid. I made him sit on top of the toilet while I cleaned up all the blood from his face. I was aware that he was studying me, but I ignored him and focused on fixing him up. Once I finished I looked at his eyes, that were studying me, and I smiled weakly. "There you go. All cleaned up." I turned around and washed my hands. I studied the water is it came away pink, from Ben's blood.

"C'mon, Iz." I jumped at Ben's voice. I turned and looked at him. His brown eyes stared into my black ones. "We have to do something about your grandma." I nodded and I left the bathroom. I went into the living room.

I looked at my grandma's limp body and I felt tears rushing down my cheeks. I crouched next to her body. I will have to call my dad and tell him what happened. I have to tell him what that man said.

I closed my eyes for a second. I had begun to get a big headache. I massaged my temples and I looked up at Ben. He looked at me for a few seconds. "I'm going to check the perimeter. They might be gone, but that doesn't mean there won't be any possible danger." He said.

I nodded and I watched as he took his shirt off and wiped the blood away from his arms. When he was satisfied he turned and left through the door. I looked at where he used to be standing. I knew I was stalling but I really didn't want to say goodbye to my grandma. So I let my mind wander off.

Our beautiful angel? What was that supposed to mean. Why did his people want me? I was just an ordinary girl. There was nothing special about me..... Okay, well maybe that's an understatement. I was obviously the daughter of a fallen angel and a Nephilim. But other than that there was nothing special about me. No powers, or super strength, even that baffled my dad. He thought I would've gotten a certain type of power because of him, but I didn't. I was literally just like an ordinary teenage human girl.

Why did those people want me? Why did they want my parents? It made no sense at all. But I knew that what I was getting into was dangerous. I could take care of myself. But I'm dealing with very powerful beings. Some of them may be fallen angels for cakes sake. Anything I did, I had to be careful. Because those people would be waiting for the right moment to try something. I didn't know if they would hurt me, but if they had murdered my grandma, then they can definitely hurt me.
