Commander Aaron, before
---
Lieutenant Aaron leaned back in his chair. He looked at ease, in his element. He looked like the leader he was. Or will be soon enough...
He tilted his head as he attempted to listen to the man seated across from him. Lieutenant Aaron just stared at the man, his eyes following the man's every move.
"You will be punished for this! For breaking into my office and tying me up!" He heard the man shout.
Lieutenant Aaron grinned suddenly. He swiveled his chair so he was facing the New York City skyline.
NewYork City, how wonderful it was. It held so much potential and opportunity for him. His eyes took in all the buildings, all the people that looked so little below the building. The majority of humans were just as impactful as dust in the grand scheme of things.
Not him, he had worked hard to make sure he wasn't just a normal powerless human being. He wanted power and he would do anything to get it. In fact, the reason why he was in the building was because he needed to do one last thing before he was the leader of an army.
He had worked on his plan for years. He had to go through many obstacles but none of them ever stopped him.
He ran a hand down his face and smirked. "New York is such a beautiful yet powerful place, isn't it Commander Greene?" He asked, ignoring everything the Commander was saying. He did not care what the old bag of meat was saying. He was here to get something and he would not stop until he had it.
"I can't believe you are the traitor, Lieutenant. I trusted you." The Commander spit out.
The lieutenant chuckled and swiveled his chair again to face him. "That's the first mistake you have done, Commander. You are a very trustful person. You believe everyone has good intentions. Well, news flash, Drey," Lieutenant Aaron banged his palms against the table, anger evident in his voice, "people are evil. All they care about is themselves. They will do whatever it takes to get power and money and love." His nostrils flared.
He did not understand how the old man trusted these people. People did nothing but lie and betray and hurt. Lieutenant Aaron clenched his hands into fists.
The Commander growled. "So you are just like them. All you care about is power and nothing else. Power is the reason why you have betrayed me. Power is the reason why you're about to make your younger-" he stopped himself and looked behind him to see the black haired young man with the bright green eyes. The young man stood straight, his body perfectly straight. He made no movement whatsoever. He really was trained to be the perfect killing machine.
Lieutenant Aaron made sure of that.
The Commander closed his eyes in sorrow. Not for himself, but for the young man. He turned back to look at the Lieutenant. "Make your soldier kill me." He corrected himself.
The lieutenant shrugged. "That is the only way I will be the new Commander of this army. You were a good leader, Drey, you really were. But I think it's time to retire, old man."
The Commander didn't say anything for a while. "I hope you go to hell for this, Dar-"
"Don't say my name!" The lieutenant barked. "Never say my name again you son of a bitch."
"My mother is a bitch? Please, yours must be the queen of all bitches for creating you, you fucking bastard." The commander sneered.
No one noticed how the young man at the back flinched at their words. He closed his eyes as he listened to them. He didn't move from his position of attention but if anyone looked closely they could see his hands that were on his side, shaking.
