Jaxson looked at me with an exasperated look. "What part don't you understand? We are your guardians."

I laughed. Yeah these men were crazy. "I do not need guardians. I already have two archangel guardians. And I don't even want guardians!"

Jaxson rolled his eyes. "But you need them. Since you're technically mortal right now, anyone can kill you. I know your father trained you well but these are fallen angels and nephilim. They want to kill you, before you become an angel. Even humans want to kill you. There is an army dedicated to killing you."

I fell silent. A whole army? Holy brownies, that's.... insane.

My life sucks.

I sighed and looked at Xian. "I still don't understand why he is also my guardian. He's strong I know, but he can get hurt."

Xian scoffed. "I have exorcized seven demons already."

Wait. Did he just say demons? Oh fųck no.

Jaxson cursed. "Damn it. We weren't supposed to tell her yet, Xian!"

I felt myself paling. Oh my brownies. I... I have to fight demons? Oh god.

I started feeling lightheaded and both Jaxson and Xian stared at me with wide eyes.

"You dumbass, she's having a panic attack." Dimitrius rolled his eyes. He went to my side and positioned me so I could breath better. "There. It has resided, right?"

I nodded still feeling breathless from the attack. I sat back down and looked at them. "Demons? You have got to be kidding me." I shook my head .

I'm not ready for this.

According to Jaxson, I am the Chosen One. I wasn't supposed to be the Chosen One. Someone else was. But things changed and now there's no waiting. I was made the Chosen one.

This could be the end of the world and people want to kill me out of fear. They think if I die there will be no war. No ending. But if I die, everyone will die.

And the war. When I turn 18 I will go through training to be able to actually be successful in defeating the opponent in the war.

And when the war is here, I have to win. Every creature depends on me. The plants, germs, bugs, chocolate, depends on me. If I lose... well I don't know what will happen but I know it won't be good. At all.

And I didn't know exactly who I was going into war with. But now is the time to get answers.

"What do you mean by that?" I said after I regained my composure.

Jaxson slid his hand down his face. "It's real, Iz. God, angels, heaven. And because that's real that means Lucifer, demons, and hell is real. Your father has protected you too much and that's why you don't know this. But it's time you do."

Xian started first. "We are hunters. We hunt demons. We exorcize them and send 'em back to hell. They have lived amongst humans for a long time. And we hunt them. For hundreds of years we have. But now it's different. Demons are getting restless. They want something and we didn't know at first what it was.

"Like angels believe in God, demons believe in Lucifer. He's their God. And he's locked up. The demons are building an army so when Lucifer raises, there will be bloody and gory war. And only one side will win."

Dimitrius nodded. "Only one. Angels think the demons will be easy to defeat but that's not right. Demons are powerful. Trust me I know, I am one."

Once again I was shocked to my very bones. I was freaking talking to a demon.

Well... I kissed an angel so I guess it shouldn't be such a surprise. But still.

A freaking demon.

"Yeah so that's why you're here. To save us all. And we are your guardians. We protect you with our lives. No don't give me that bullshit about 'I don't need guardians'. You do but you just don't want them. We protect you so you can protect us."

I nodded and then I shook my head. "I need time to process this." I looked up at Jaxson with pleading eyes.

He sighed and gave in. "Alright don't take too long. Doesn't matter, I know your address anyway." He stood up and looked at the other boys. "I'm walking her to her car. "

They nodded but didn't say a word.

I stood up and walked out in a daze. I still couldn't wrap my head around that.

I was supposed to save the world.

I need chocolate ASAP.

Jaxson was silent the whole way to my car. Once we got close he pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry we put too much weight on your shoulders. But it's something we need you to understand."

I nodded and took out my keys. I unlocked the car and hopped in. "You know where to find me."

Be nodded and smiled a nice smile. "Yeah. Drive safe honey."

I grimaced slightly. I don't know if I was in the right condition to drive.

"Later,Jaxson!" I called out as I sped out.

I hope i dont get into an accident...
