After going to the zoo with Raz, I came home. Going out with Raz did me good. He got my mind off everything and I felt myself having fun.

I laughed whenever Raz looked at something awe and called a beautiful. He called a freaking hippo, beautiful. Angels are so cute, I swear.

Especially Raz because even though he's an archangel, he acts like a kid.

Grinning from ear to ear, I entered my dad's studio. I closed the door behind me and I jumped slightly when I heard my dad talk to someone on the phone. He sounded really mad and I looked at him with a questioning look. He smiled warily and told the other person he would talk with them later.

"Hey, girl." He said as he pulled me into a hug. "How was training?" He was wearing a black tshirt and he looked tired. I wonder what was up with him.

I felt guilty. I was too focused on my problems that I didn't notice how tired and worried my dad looked. Something was bothering him and I needed to know what it was. To try to help him.

I beamed at him. "It was great."

Xzanthonius was strapped against my back in a special sheath Lexa had given me. I unstrapped it and and then showed it to my dad.

His eyes softened and saddened a little once he saw my sword. "You have your angel weapon." He didn't say it in a question but I nodded anyway. He smiled at me. "Congratulations, darling. What's his name?"

I grinned at him. "It's a mouth full. Xzanthonius."

He chuckled. "I had a sword as well." He looked sad all of a sudden but he replaced it with a smile. "Well, you better take good care of him."

I nodded. "I will." I remembered the phone call and I looked at him with concern. "Is everything okay? Is mom okay?"

"Of course she is. And it's nothing I can't handle, Iz. I'll be fine." He smiled.

I nodded slowly. "If you say so."

My dad nodded, lost in thought. But then he snapped out of it. "Uh, someone wants to talk to you. They're in your room."

I looked at him confused. "Who?"

Dad shrugged. "You'll see." He said as he walked into the kitchen. I shrugged and walked to my room. I opened the door and set my stuff down. I put Xzanthonius on top of my desk. I was about to go to my closet but then I froze when I saw someone sitting on my bed.

"Luc? What are you doing here?" I asked him once I saw who it was.

He stood and he looked nervous. "I just.... wanted to talk to you. Will you... sit down with me?"

I nodded and sat down on my bed. He sat down again though left a lot of space between us. "What did you want to talk about?"

He sighed and ran a hand down his face. "I am here to apologize. And to give you an explanation."

I rubbed my forehead and sighed. I was tired and slightly nervous for the days to come. Boy drama is something I do not need. But I decided to hear him out. "There's no need to apologize. What are you explaining?"

He looked at me, his blue eyes filled with regret. "Why I acted the way I did. Why I said the things I said." I nodded for him to go on. "I am so sorry for that Iz. I feel terrible whenever I see you. I did not mean to hurt you." He looked ashamed and confused. "But I was... jealous, okay? I was jealous and I was hurt. I wanted you to feel hurt too. And I know it wasn't your fault."

I looked at him surprised. He was hurt? About what? That I didn't talk to him while I was gone? "What were you hurt about."

He closed his eyes and he looked so hurt. An archangel like him shouldn't feet hurt or ashamed. This is all my fault. "I looked for you. When you went to New York. I saw you." My eyes widened in horror. He saw. He saw when I danced with Aaron.

God, Aaron. The green eyed boy that has been haunting my dreams and nightmares. I have been trying to forget about him but he just pops up in mind. He never leaves. What has he done to me.

I can't forget about his distant beautiful green eyes. I can't forget how sometimes, he looked like he was in pain. And I know it wasn't physical, his pain. I knew it was something he felt inside every contour of his being.

"I followed you because I was worried. I know how you can get when you're overwhelmed. You tend to be self destructive so I followed you to make sure you did nothing that would hurt you. It took me a while to know your location but when I found out, I went too look for you. You were at a club, drinking. And then I saw how you danced with him. That man. I saw how awed you looked when you saw him. How you smiled every time he said something to you."

I opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it. "Please, do not say anything. Let me finish, please." I nodded at his pleading voice. "And I knew it was my fault. I distanced myself from you and avoided you. But I felt so hurt when I saw you with him. When you came home, I was so angry. And I took it out on you."

I looked at him, pained. "You did push me away, Luc. But why? I was ready to love you forever and then you became distant with me. I knew you felt my feelings. But you told me it was because of an oath."

"It is because of an oath." He looked distant, probably recalling a memory from a different time. "I was in love with an angel once. She was so beautiful. She had the softest looking brown hair and the most beautiful brown eyes. She was a warrior. She was one of the few that knew about me. I loved her dearly and she loved me the same way. One day, demons were causing trouble and she was sent to go destroy them. They had killed hundreds of people. Every time she left, she would always make me say an oath. Saying that I will never be with anyone, love anyone, but her. That if something happened to her, we will find each other in the next life. She was killed."

He looked at me and his eyes held so much pain. I felt it in my heart. "And you remind me so much like her. She held so much sadness in her but she was fierce and she could be a spitfire. I fell in love with you. And I feel so guilty. Because I made an oath to Raven. That is why I became distant."

I felt my eyes start to tear up. "I'm sorry to hear that, Luc. And even though I don't know what you feel, I understand. I fell in love with you too." I smiled sadly at him. "But we aren't met for each other."

"But you still love me?" He asked, hope in his eyes.

I nodded. "Yes. I will always love you."

Luc was silent for a long time. "Do you love him?" I knew he was talking about Aaron.

I shook my head. "No."

He smiled, a very sad smile. A smile that said, I know you're lying to yourself. "I am sorry for leading you on, Izzy. I am sorry for lying to you as well. For not giving you a choice."

I smiled at him. "It's okay, Luc. You are my best friend. Always will be."

Luc smiled, this time it was teasing. "So this is what it is like to be friend zoned."

I laughed. "I guess." I yawned suddenly and realized I was tired.

Luc stood up and ran a hand through his hair. "You need to sleep, Izzy."

I looked up at him with tired eyes. "Yeah, I do."

He leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Sleep, Iz."

I watched him leave and once he did, I stood up and changed my clothes. I put on sweatpants and a Black Veil Brides tshirt. I yawned and stretched before falling on top of my bed and falling asleep almost immediately.
