"Fuck" Maggie muttered, causing the young blonde to snap her head up to what Maggie was staring at.

That's when she stepped out. And Kara fully stood up beside Maggie, crossing her arms in front of her as a raven haired woman walked with confidence onto the crime scene. With her sunglasses pushed up into her tied back hair, she looked nothing close to a lawyer of any kind. Though, it was smart to not dress so business-like, Kara now realized as she had her skirt covered in dust and dirt, though she was a rookie as everyone liked to call her.

"Who invited you onto the crime scene?" Maggie snapped, she wasn't so keen of the idea of unwanted people on her crime scene.

"I'm the prosecutor, I actually have more rights to a crime scene than a defensive lawyer seeing I need evidence." She replied cooly which took Maggie aback, but just for a second. Though, just as Maggie was going to fire back, Lena had already stuck out her hand towards Kara with a smile.

"Lena Luthor, I hear this is going to be your first big case. Congratulations." Both Kara and Maggie stared at the woman in disbelief, seeing how many rumors she's heard of her. Lena Luthor. The Lena Luthor. One of the best lawyers refuse to take on a case, hearing that Lena is on it. But, Kara didn't even know Lena had this case as well. Until, now.

Snapping out of her daze, Kara quickly shook Lena's hand with a quiet 'Thank you" murmured under her breath, Lena heard it though.

"But, I also heard the only reason a rookie like you got this case is because you have a sister and your sister's girlfriend has connections. So, I won't be going easy on you,Danvers." With that she let go of Kara's hand, turning on her heel and walking through the crime scene. The detective and cops already showing her evidence they've gathered already, which seemed unfair since they pretty much ignored Kara unless Maggie spoke up for her. Which was pretty embarrassing.

Though, with an appreciative 'thank you', she insisted on seeing the evidence herself. That's what she did for 3 hours, with occasional breaks, on the crime scene she wrote her own separate notes on a notepad she brought and made her own observations. Some may argue that Lena's notes had better and more information than the detective.

What did Kara do? Well, Kara scrambled to keep up. Quickly, she asked the detectives and officers about the evidence. With a steely look from Maggie, they reluctantly agreed to show her the evidence and explain it to her.

Finally, Kara had long gone finished though Lena was the only one left on the scene aside from Kara who decided to stay seeing that Maggie had an emergency and had to leave with the car. While the rest of them had left before her already, so she decided to wait and see if Lena could drive her.

The absolute most worst idea she's ever had in her entire life, Kara had decided as Lena walked up to her with an eyebrow raised in question.

"Sorry Danvers, but I can't give you my notes" She teased, stopping in front of Kara who nervously fiddled with her glasses as a growing habit.

"No- I don't need.. anyway, I just need a ride. Back to the office since I can't walk all the way, unless you feel uncomfortable I'll just take the bus or-" Lena had already cut her off with the roar of the engine and opening the door.

"Get in" She gestured for Kara to slide into the passenger seat of her sleek new car. Once Kara was able to process that she was in Lena Luthor's car.

She wasn't over it. Refraining from pushing all the cool buttons, she sat with her hands neatly folded in her lap. The drive was quiet, occasionally, Lena would glance over at Kara. The rookie, with baby blue eyes that captured Lena at the spot and made it hard for her for the first time in years to actually focus on a case.
